opening the ceiling.

The transparent ceiling vanished and Eton felt the cool air rush in. He took a deep breath and caught a whiff of a sweet scent that reminded him of freshly baked bread. "That smell is making me hungry." he said, his wings turning white.

Myrrh smiled, knowing that opening her world to Eton slowly was the best course of action. She needed to gain his trust and 'dropping' him into a flying lesson was not going to do that. "That's not surprising." she said. "It's been a hav-circle since your rebirth so I'd imagine you'd be starving."

"A what?" you asked, confused.

Myrrh giggled. "That is what we call a full day or night here." she explained. "It's all based on the movements of the sun and moon as we live high above the Earth." she took a breath. "A minute is a parmo, an hour is a mot, mid day or night is a qua-circle, and a full day is a hav- circle. Right now, its seven mot fifteen."

"Seven fifteen in the morning." said Eton, catching on. "What do you call a week, a month, a year?"

Myrrh giggled. "A week is par-rot." she replied. "A partial rotation around the sun. A month is a moonth and a year is a fullrot or a full rotation around the sun." she smiled. "Now, do you want to continue class or are you ready for breakfast?"

"Breakfast?" asked Eton. he then smiled. "Definately. I'm starving. I'm glad you use some human terms up here"

Myrrh sighed. "I have my work cut out for me. Trust me, not everything will be simple." she said. "Yes, we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner like humans do."

Eton giggled. "I'd love to have breakfast with you." he said. he looked up. "How do we get out?"

Myrrh laughed then spread her wings and launched herself upwards. "Just use your wings." she said. "Come on, try."

Eton started to flap his arms, causing Myrrh to laugh. "no, no, no!" she giggled. "Your wings, not your arms!"

"Don't laugh!" scolded Eton, his wings turning a shade of pink. "I've never had wings before!"

Myrrh smiled kindly. "I'm sorry, Eton." she said, gently. "Focus on your wings, they will respond."

Eton tried and, to his surprise, his wings spread outward and he was able to launch himself skyward. Only, he was panting after only a few seconds of being in the air. "This is harder than it looks." he said. "I'm already tired."

Myrrh took Eton's hand and took him skyward. "Just relax then." she said. "We can work on learning to fly after you get your strength back."

Eton nodded and looked around to see where he was and let out a low gasp, seeing a large number of islands, floating in the sky, above the clouds! "Oh... wow!" he breathed.

Myrrh smiled. "Eton, welcome to Skyaira, your new home."

"It's... enchanting!" whispered Eton, his eyes dancing.

Although Eton was now a ten year old Misterian boy, he had the mind of an adult human. Only, upon seeing his new home, his childhood was rekindled and his eyes lit up with wonder and curiosity... he had been truly reborn...

Seeing the look of wonder in his eyes, Myrrh smiled and took her new son...
