Chapter #5

Appearances Can be Decieving

    by: Unknown
Ramona actually gets down on all fours with her nose to the ground and begins crawling along the ground, sniffing every inch. You quickly follow her , as she leads you out of the school, down the road, across the street, and comes to a stop in front of Chloe's house. "I don't understand." She says "The scent leads to here. Could you have possibly dropped the ring here when Chloe gave it to you yesterday?"

"I couldn't have, it was in my pocket this morning."

"Well, I don't know what to tell you, 'cause this is where the trail ends."

Now what are you supposed to do? Tell Chloe you lost her most reasured possesion less than a day after she gave it to you? How would she ever trust you after that? But, then again, she would know if you lied, so either way, she wouldn't be able to trust you. You decide that it's better to face the music and just tell her straight up. You hang your head low as you slowly walk up to Chloe's porch.

"What are you doing?" Asks Ramona.

"Going to ruin any chance I have of being with Chloe."

You knock on the door, and Chloe answers.

"(your name)? What are you doing here?"

"Chloe, there's really no easy way to say this, so I'm just going to say it. I've lost your ring. Someone snatched it from my pocket at school."

You expected Chloe to be mad, maybe even slap you. but to your surprise, she smiles. "Congratulations." she says "You passed." Needless to say, you were confused. "What are you talking about?" "Do you know why I didn't outright turn you down when you asked me on a date?"

You shake your head.

"Not only can female furries sense when someone is lying, but we can sense people's personalities as well. Must other guys who asked me out before, only wanted to get into my pants. But you, I could sense something different about you, sincere affection. I was the one who pickpocketed the ring from you. My real test for you, was to see if you would be honest with me, and you were."

"So, does this mean we're together now?"

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. "Yes. I'll see you at eight."

2. "Not yet. There's still one more thing."

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
