Chapter #2

Eh, Maybe Later

    by: GWriter Author IconMail Icon
"Um...... I'll wait till later." you say. "I have to get to class, anyway."

"Sure you do." Ramona sarcastically says while rolling her eyes.

Your first class was Honors Literature. You were a pretty smart guy back on Earth, and after seeing your transcript (your grades), the school put you in this class. You walked into the classroom and took your seat. As you were sitting down waiting for your teacher for arrive, you take a sketchpad out of your backpack and start doodling. As you were scribbling around, you notice that every single girl in the class was staring at you. Some gave loving gazes, others gave seductive stares. You'd could've sworn you heard on of them say "I'd like to get some of that." You started to get really nervous.

"Don't mind them." you heard somebody say. You look to your left and see a grey mouse furry with short brown hair talking to you. "They'll stop eventually. My name's Colin. And yours?"

You calmly tell him your name, then Colin continues "I've had girl troubles on my fist year too. I remember accidentally walking into the girls' locker room. Barely made it out alive."

"Gee, that makes me feel better." you say.

"Relax. I can give you some advice." Colin says.

Advice was something that you really needed at this point. "I'm all ears."

"Okay, first thing you need to know is that society on Bestia is matriarchal." Colin begins. "You know what that means right?"

"Yeah," you say. "It means that girls have the power."

"Exactly," Colin says. "That's why there are so many females on the planet compared to males and why they are so aggressive. Now, we both know that a teenager's hormones are a little awkward at this stage in life. That's another reason why girls are always chasing after a boy. If a girl wants you, and you reject her, one of two things will happen. She'll either be mature about it and walk away, or try and take you by force. Fortunately, there's a 1/4 chance that the latter will happen."

"Those are still pretty risky odds." you say.

"That's why there's the system." Colin replies.

"System?" you ask, confused.

"Every Friday, the girls all get together in the locker room and discuss the most desirable boys in the school." Colin explains. "If you happen to be one of them, a girl is likely to 'claim' you. That means that this girl gets to pursue you for an entire week. If more than one girl wants you, then they will decide amongst themselves who will pursue you on which day. When the next meeting comes, if your name comes about in discussion, another girl might want you."

"This is a lot to take in." you say.

"I know, but the sooner you know, the better off you are. Trust me." Colin says.

"Anything else I need to know?" you ask.

"Just one little thing." If you have a girlfriend, another girl may challenge her for the right to have you. Then a fight might break out.

"Good to know." you say.

Then you look in front of you and see Chloe sitting in front of you. A smile forms on your face.

After class, you look to see what your next class is.

You have the following choices:

1. Math (With Ramona)

2. Science (With Chloe)

3. History (With Colin)

4. Gym (With Luke)

*Noteb*
5. Talk to Chloe before you look at you schedule.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
