This choice: A baking experiment gone horribly wrong • Go Back...Chapter #5A baking experiment gone horribly wrong by: Unknown In was night in Ponyville, the time when Luna's moon was in the sky and when most ponies were far off into sleep.
Pinkie Pie however, wasn't "most ponies"
Deep within her hidden hideaway in the cellar of Sugercube Corner, Pinkie was busy mixing ingredients into a cauldron so large you would wonder how it fit in. Under most circumstances, especially when baking, Pinkie was a happy-go-lucky mare that always knew how to laugh. Tonight however, Pinkie made no giggling, no singing, no laughing, just dead-serious concentration, for tonight had to be perfect. This was no ordinary baking spree of hers, if she succeeded then she would party like never before, but until then she was serious. "My pastries and desserts are always so good" Pinkie thought to herself "No matter what I do however, I always find somepony who doesn't like what I give them. 'To much sugar' one says, 'Not enough strawberries' another says. Well, soon that won't be a problem." Pinkie always had wanted to make the perfect dessert for parties, however no normal baking recipes ever did the trick. She began to poke around some spell books Twilight had, hoping to find something that could help her. When suddenly, she had found it! A recipe for a potion that (If the book was to be believed) would be able to adjust it's taste to anything's liking! All Pinkie would have to do would be to but it into cake batter and POW: a party treat any and everypony could enjoy. Many of the ingredients were actually common supplies found in any full-stocked kitchen, which Pinkie had access to. She climbed the large cauldron as the heater underneath started to kick in. She climbed to the top, ready to add the final and most difficult ingredient to find. A liquefied mix of a "Want it, Need it" spell and a transformation spell were quite hard to come across, but Pinkie being Pinkie, she had found a way. She knew she had to work fast, she had already poured the batter into the mix and the heater would soon start baking. Staring at the edge of her creaky perch and into the vat, she began to quickly pour the contents of the bottle into it. Pinkie could smell the spell's mixing in with the batter and was half tempted to lean closer and smell deeper, so she did. As she inhale deeply, she realized her work was finished. Pinkie took a deep breath as she realized what she had accomplished. As her pink hair poofed into it's usual curly form, Pinkie began to squeal with delight. "OhdearCelestia,Ididit!Ireallydidit!Theperfecttreatforpartiesandit'sm ineforthemakingandbaking!Imean, notthatmytreatswern'tperfectbeforebutthesewil lblowthemoutofthewater!" Pinkie was so happy and just bouncing around from her success that she didn't notice that the platform she was dancing on was breaking from her movement. In fact, she was partying so much she barely had time to reacting from falling. "Woopise-doodle" was all she had time to say before she fell hooves-first into the vat.
After a few seconds, Pinkie opened her eyes and looked around. All she could see was the pink fruit of her labor all around her. Looking up, Pinkie saw the top of the vat and began to swim for it. No use! The batter was hardining and she could barely move. Believing she was done for, Pinkie opened her mouth so the delicous cake would be inside her. It tasted like cotton candy, her favorite. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
