"Hey, mind if I go cheer up your daughter?" Joseph asked. "Do your best, she's really upset. Her room is done that hall." Norman said, pointing to a room at the end of the hall. "Alright, thank you sir." Joseph said.
Joseph went down the hall to what he assumed to be May's room, and knocked on the locked door. "Who's there?" said a weak voice from inside. "You don't know me, but you did bump into me earlier." Joseph said. "Oh, you're that most recent trainer my Dad fought, aren't you?" May said, opening the door, letting Joseph in. "Yeah, what happened?" Joseph asked.
"Well, I recieved a call from my friend, Ash Ketchum, he told me how he recently dominated the Sinnoh League, and I wanted to visit him as a surprise, but my Dad won't let me go all the way out to Sinnoh again." May explained.
"Alright, how about you tell me about yourself, you are a gym leaders' daughter, you're life must be interesting." Joseph asked. "Not really, I'm a Coordinator, I've taken first in both Hoenn and Johto Grand Festivals." May said. "What about you?"
"Well, I'm a Pokemon Trainer, just like your friend, Ash Ketchum, but I'm so much weaker, and this is my partner Marshtomp." Joseph said, calling out his Pokemon. "Oh, well he looks strong." May said.
"Thanks. Anyway, me and Marshtomp, along with my other Pokemon, have won, well now, we've one 5 of the 8 gym badges, Marshtomp was able to stand against your Dad's Slaking." Joseph said. "Both of them?! That's quite a strong Pokemon." May said, beginning to cheer up.
"Thanks, me and him train for hours a day at a time." Joseph said. "Well, that's about it for me." "You're life is so much more interesting then mine." May said. "Thanks for cheering me up by the way." May then gave Joseph a kiss, but just on the cheek, then...
