getting ready to leave

You glance at the computer screen.
"Yes...we are getting ready to depart. Message the rest of the crew to meet here in the next half hour."
"Yes sir. Messages are being sent out now."

A loading screen appeared across the screen and the captain stood up from the desk.
He slowly walked to the window and glanced down to the town below.

A beep from the computer interrupted his thoughts.
"Messages are sent sir.
The crew should be back soon."

The captain smiled and nodded.
"Thank you.
Prep the engines so we can depart once everyone arrives."

The screen goes blank and the captain hears the soft purr of the engine warming up.
He sighed and glanced over his maps.
"Now where are we off to today?"
