It was a fine day in Ponyville, birds were chirping, the weather Pegasi were kicking clouds, and our faithful unicorn Twilight Sparkle was currently reading a spellbook titled Gain and Lose: Weight based spells for unicorns. recently Twilight had noticed a bit of extra fat on her stomach after Spike had told her about it, and then proceeded to giggle and make jokes as someone his age would. Wanting to keep herself in fit shape for a number of reasons, she consulted to a spell book she found the next day to help rid herself of the minor problem.
"Hmm, density increase, growth spell, weight transfer...ah here we go instant weight loss." the purplish gray pony murmured as she read the details of the printed text. "This spell when done correctly can rid the standard unicorn of up to 50 pounds of weight be it fat or muscle, it is very important that concentration is kept constant during the casting or spell could backfire. ...Backfire?" Twilight wondered, putting her left hoof to her chin wondering what that could mean. Seeing that taking the time to come up with what that could mean would be pointless, she shrugged her shoulders and began to charge up the spell. As her horn glowed Twilight could begin to slowly feel the pounds receding away into nothingness. Suddenly, as she had just lost 6 pounds the door to the library, her esteemed abode, swung open abruptly. "Hey Twilight you'll never believe what just happened!" Shouting this was the mare's number one assistant Spike, who was earlier out and about in Ponyville and had returned to his friend to give her some surprising news. "Gaah!" Twilight yelped as she was shocked by the abrupt interruption. The magic that had been built up in her horn was let loose, blasting her with the energy inside it and sending her into the bookcase, sending a number of books piling on top of her. "Twilight! Are you okay?" Spike worried if the pony was okay, ran up to the pile of books to help her up. "Ugghh.." Twilight moaned as she laid under the mound of literature. As Spike reached out with his hand to grab her, he was suddenly knocked back by a glob of...fat? "Wahaa!" Spike screamed as he was pushed to the ground by this...thing, looking up he saw all the books were off of the mare and that also....the bit of fat she had, now had gained some friends...a lot of friends. "Tw-Twilight?" Spike said bewildered by her new state of being. "Ughh Spike I told you before to KNOCK before you enter, you know what can happen when a spell back...fires?" Twilight said as she trailed off now noticing a large mound of purple fur at the bottom of her sight. "Wha-what the?" she said aghast at the new, much larger layer of flab she now held on her body, frantically putting her hooves to her body she could feel a second chin and her barrel laid out from her body by a good 12 inches.
"Hmmph hahaha AHAHAHAHAHA!!" Spike laughed as he took pleasure at the sight of Twilight now weighing somewhere around a good 230lbs, she was very clearly obese, and to Spike...hilarious. "Spike! This is serious, now I've got even more fat then before!" Twilight yelled as she waved her hooves in dismay, making her new rolls wobble and jiggle about. Holding in a laugh Spike responded, "Hmmph D-don't worry Twilight you can just get rid of that stuff by doing the spell again." "Oh my gosh, you're right, ok now page 413 ahhh..." Twilight then noticed a small notice warning at the bottom of the page she had not seen before. Warning: If a spell is done wrong, they cannot be redone by any other spells in this book, they must be handled by either normal physical work to the body, potions listed in page 568, or a team of powerful unicorns. "Wow, that's an oddly inconvenient warning label..." Spike said lamenting on the detail. "Physical work?! Oh that'll take forever! I'll be the laughing stock of Ponyville before I'm back to my thin self!" Twilight panicked as she imagined herself being taunted by her friends and peers. "Look at Twilight! She's such a blob!" one pony said, "Eww so unrefined, I'm sorry Twilight, but I cannot be seen with such a...fatty, goodbye." fantasy Rarity said to the now 800lb blob known as Twilight Sparkle. "You've scared my animals Twilight, You ruined my techniques, You take up too much space for my parties, You get in the way of my applebuckin' '" the rest of Twilight's friends said to her in disgust and shame. As Twilight spazzed and babbled in her state of panic, Spike interrupted it to reconcile her. "Aw, come on Twilight, you know they'd never treat you like that." he said putting his claw to her belly, trying to comfort her. Taking some deep breathes, Twilight resumed her methodical thinking...until Spike belched up a letter from Princess Celestia. "A letter?" Spike questioned. Clearing up his throat, Spike began to read the parchment to the purple pony.
"Ahem, Dear my dearest and most faithful student Twilight Sparkle, I am glad to announce that I will be coming to Ponyville in 3 months to check up on your progress in the study of Friendship, please be in your best shape when that time comes. Princess Celestia." "Oh nonononono!" Twilight babbled as she panicked yet again, realizing that the 200+ pound pony she was now was not best shape material "Spike, we need to fix this immediately!" "Uhh how?" the dragon asked, bewildered by the demand. "Hmm uhh well I don't now yet, but let's get something to eat first, I'm starving." "Starving? But Twilight, you just ate an hour ago." Spike said, putting his hands to his hips. "I know..but I suddenly feel really empty now." In retort Spike whispered to himself "Don't know why, you're gut's big enough to hold a pony in it..." "What was that Spike?" Twilight said rasing her brow in suspicious manner, just barely hearing the baby dragon murmur to himself. "Ohho nothing, now come on, there's plenty of food to get at the market." Twilight's eyes opened up like saucers upon hearing this. "What?! I'm not going there!" Twilight said crossing shaking her hooves about. "Uhh but Twilight, that's where we buy food..." "Ehh I know that..but....I don't want to be seen like this yet." Twilight whispered, putting her hooves to chins in fear. "Oh come on Twilight its...not too bad." Spike said eying the mare's mounds of fat on her body,poking with a claw, watching it sink inward into the flesh. "I'm sorry Spike ,just go and get some food for me, and make sure it's a lot I'm really hungry!" Twilight pleaded, smiling daintily. "Okay fine, just try not to eat the library while I'm gone, Haha!" Spike said as he ran out to the market. "Ughh Spike!" Twilight yelled as the dragon chuckled to himself at his remark. "Oh well... guess all I can do now is wait..." she said as she pushed her hooves into her girth, noting that it at the least felt good to be fat if nothing else. "*Sigh* this is going to be a long day."
