With a fluttery, almost saccharine ding, the elevator arrived, and to Julian's subconscious mirth there was no one in sight to interrupt him. Still lost in his thoughts, the boy absently walked inside, weighing his options as the elevator began its descent. On the one hand, he really did miss his friends. Ever since he arrived in Hawaii, he'd been spending what felt like hours each daydreaming about all the dumb shenanigans he'd be up to by not with them if it weren't for this stupid trip. On the other, he was still curious about how those boys he helped. After all, it wasn't every day that you suddenly shot up a few feet in height in just a few seconds right when you needed to beat up some punks. Seeing how they were dealing with the aftermath might be interesting...

It only took a more minutes of consideration for Julian to decide exactly what he wanted to do as he got out of the elevator: go out and check out how those boys were doing right no-

Just then, something rammed into Julian like a bullet train, stars flying as he landed face first on the cold, gold-laced ceramic tiled floor. As Julian got up from his prone state, muttering curses under his breath that would have his mom scrubbing his mouth with soap for weeks, he found himself looking up at the fuming figure of his brother Joseph, who was leering down at him with one hand covering his left eye.

"Watch where you're going, you squirt! You could've gotten us killed" he yelled, irritation laced all over his scowling visage.

"You... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, YOU BLUNDERING MORON!?" Julian yelled back, his pent-up aggression erupting all at once. "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO RAN STRAIGHT ON INTO ME!

Julian paused for a moment. "HOW THE HELL DID YOU EVEN GET DOWN HERE SO FAST, ANYWAY!?"

Joseph started blankly at him as though he had just told him that the sky was actually orange with a lemon-scented covering. "I wanted to go back out and I didn't want to wait for that slow-ass elevator, so I ran down the stairs!"

"Then you should've been watching what's in front of you, you idiot!"

"I didn't have to do shit, dung for brains! You're the one who came out of the elevator without looking both ways!"

"I wouldn't have to do that if a certain lobotomized monkey knew how to read instructions! You know you're not supposed to be running in the lobby!"

"Alright, you know what?!?"

Julian yelped as Joseph picked him up right his collar, the older boy slamming him straight into a nearby wall with a vicious glare - the kind that crept into your bones and froze your blood, knowing that right at that moment, that person wanted nothing more than to gut you alive like and fish and leave you for dead in the blistering sun.

"Ever since this vacation started, you've been nothing but a stuck-up, prissy little brat. You've done nothing but sit around moping and complaining while we've all actually been trying to have fun" Joseph "You think that you're so much bigger and important than everyone else, that the world has to revolve around you or else you'll whine about it until everyone's as fucking miserable as you are?!

"Well, guess what? You ain't big. You ain't even medium-sized. You're a small, insignificant little gnat! That's all you are, and that's all you'll ever be!"

With that Julien was thrown against the wall with a resounding thud, another spike of pain coiling through his back as he slid down the wall and landed flat on his ass on the cold, hard marble floor. His head felt like it was about to explode in that moment, and it took everything for Julian not to cry as he laid down, slumped over and discarded like a sack of rotten potatoes. Joseph stared down at the pathetic sight for only a moment before he left, only sparing a second glance before running off.

For what felt like an eternity, Julian laid there, right in the lobby next to the closet elevator to the entrance. No one came by to see him. No one was there to comfort. All he could do was sit there and lick at his wounds like a broken-down mutt.

Julian laid a hand on his scalp, wincing as he felt a spike of pain from the touch. God, it smarts. Julian though it might be bleeding.
And now his eyes were starting to sting. God... god damn it.

God damn it!

You know what, screw it! He's played along and had a nice family dinner, acting like the bigger man in spite of being far younger and shorter than his brothers, but now...

Now, it was time to really have some fun!

Julian broke out into a long, crooked grin as he picked himself up and walked down the lobby, his mind conjuring up all kinds of games that he could "play" with his oh-so-precious older brothers. It wasn't easy to do that, as he had to deal with the headache that was beginning to blossom, but he didn't care. He could always fix that with the pendant.

He could do anything he wanted so long as he had that pendant.

He couldn't help but chuckle to himself, spinning the pendant around on his finger like the finest glass of red wine as he imagined himself lording over his cowering brothers, pleading for Julian to spare them and apologizing for ever last awful thing that they'd ever done to him.

Maybe he would spare them. But he wouldn't be merciful about it.

Now that dinner was over, he had all the time that he needed to begin planning out his revenge. First, he needed to find a nice place for him and his brothers to "play" in. It had to be somewhere nice and isolated, so that they wouldn't even think of running away or calling for help, and it had to be secure so that no one was likely to come barging in at the wrong time. Of course, he had the pendant if things ever went really pear-shaped, but he still had no idea what its limits were. Better to play things on the safe side and test them out with his brothers.

Next, he had to actually find his brothers, and wait for them to wander off and end up somewhere together on their own so that he could properly corral them exactly where he wanted. Knowing them, they would be traveling around in a pack, and he still had the advantage over them in terms of speed, so that would be a piece of cake.

And then, once all was said and done, and he had them right where he wanted them? Well...

All he was going to say was that it was more than time that his brothers learned just who they were messing with.

But what kind of lesson should they learn?

He could stick to his first instinct and shrink them down till they all fit in the palm of his hands. Teach them what it really means to be insignificant little gnats!

Or wait, maybe he could shrink down their muscles and strength instead! They loved braying on about how strong and macho they were every second of every day, so god knows how they'd live the moment that it was all taken away from them in an instant. Even better, perhaps he'd take all of their strength as his own and show off a little. Really rub it in just how much they'd taken what they had for granted all this time, and show them how it really feels to be weak and powerless!

No, wait... he hadn't really played around that much with the pendant just yet. He had no idea what exactly the full extent of its power was. Maybe he could teleport them to another dimension where everyone was bigger and stronger than them! Let them live out their worst nightmares being helpless to do anything again even the shrimpiest of kids!

God, there were so many possibilities. He didn't know if he had the time to list all of them out! In that case, though, Julian knew that now was the time to set things in motion.

Time to begin laying out a trap for his little mice.
