Janet finished cooking dinner. She had made a simple meal of fried chicken strips along with some store bought rolls. When she was finished she yelled "Dinner is ready."
With that Craig, Kyle, and clay all came down. Each of them grabbed a paper plate and put food on it before heading somewhere else. For Craig he was headed to the library and as he ate his chicken strips grabbed a Pepsi from the refrigerator. Kyle was going to the park so he could use the basketball court there and he grabbed a sports drink. Clay grabbed an energy drink as he took his food back to his room to play some online game.
Before Janet could even ask her kids how their day was over dinner they had ate and left. Janet sighed but at least there were not many dishes tonight. As she put the pans she made the chicken strips into the dishwasher she was glad by this fact. Her sons were stereotypical teenagers who really did not do much to help keep the house clean. Janet wished she was more authoritative but she let her sons walk all over her.
She knew she needed to fix that and give them chores but it was not in her. With that she got a frosted glass out that she had put in the freezer earlier and poured a large glass of milk in it. She the proceeded into the living room to watch TV before taking a shower and going to bed.
