Then you heard a whistle and the P.E. Okuto called all the male students together. The girls went into the wading pool to watch the boys.
Okuto: Listen up! All boys get ready for the swimming obstacle course!
(name): A swimming obstacle course eh? This is the perfect opportunity! This'll get that girl's attention for sure! I show em I'm a real man!
You joined all the boys who gathered for the obstacle course. Okuto explained how it worked.
Okuto: OK then! This course is for testing your reflexes! First you have dive into the pool. Then you swim till you reach the first obstacle. To pass the first obstacle, you have to walk across the ledge. Then you move onto the second obstacle. You must swing through this hoop and successfully move on to the next course. You must run across the bridge and onto the finish line to complete the course.
(name) thinking: That doesn't sound so bad. I can do this! If I pass this thing, I'll finally get that girl to notice me!
Okuto: All righty then! Who's gonna go first? Step up if you think you got the guts.
No one said a word. Then you spoke up.
(name): I'll go first! Bring it on!
When everyone heard you speak, they all looked at you like you where crazy. Even the girls were whispering about your declaration.
Girl1: Is that guy out of his mind?
Boy1: He's either has guts or just plain crazy!
Boy2: Why would he want to take on Okuto's course anyway?
Girl2: Probably has a death wish.
Yukari: Did you hear that Kurumu? That guy you have your eye on is gonna take on the course!
Kurumu: Really?
Yukari: Haha! He won't last two minutes on that course!
Then a young girl with pink hair sat next to Yukari. She was Moka Akashiya.
Moka: Now Yukari, be nice. You shouldn't talk that way about someone.
Yukari: Sorry Moka, but still there is no way that guy will make it.
(name) thinking: Why that snot nosed brat! I'll show her! I'll show what I can do! And I'll show Kurumu what I can do!
Okuto: Well, well. You got some guts. Very well then. Take your place!
You took your place at the starting line and got ready to run the course. Then you looked at Kurumu and she looked at you. When you saw her she waved at you making your heart skip a beat. You waved at her back admiring how pretty she was, but then Okuto's voice snapped you back to reality.
Okuto: Mr. (name)! Mr. (name)! Are you ready?
(name): Oh um...yes! I'm good to go!
Okuto: OK! On your mark! Get set....! (blows whistle)
As soon as you heard the whistle you took off. You bolted from the starting line and jumped into the pool with a beautiful dive. Then you briskly swam towards the first obstacle. You climbed up the ladder and made your way to the ledge. You carefully walked across the ledge using the handles on the wall for support. You were doing well and you were halfway across.
(name) thinking: This is way to easy! I'll get through this in no time! I don't know why everyone was so worried.
You would soon find out why. Suddenly something popped out of the wall and narrowly missed your face. The whole class gasped and Kurumu looked on with worry. This made you temporarily lose your balance, but luckily you got it back and were able to grab on to the wall.
(name): What the....!!! What the hell was that?!?!?
Then you saw what almost punched you. The whole had little boxing punching gloves coming out of it. Before you had a chance to react, a boxing glove gave you a nasty punch on the thigh and then in the gut making some of the students cringe. You felt the wind get knocked out of you, but you bravely held on and kept on getting across the wall.
Moka: Oh dear that must've hurt. Poor guy.
Yukari: Yeah. I'm impressed he didn't fall in. Right Kurumu?
Kurumu said nothing. She looked on with interest.
(name) thinking: Damn it that hurt! No one told me this course was booby trapped!
The boxing gloves kept coming as you made your way across the wall. Soon you made it across the wall and moved on to the second course. As you to grab the rope and start swinging, you were in for another nasty surprise. The ring you were supposed to swing through lit of fire making the whole class gasp.
(name): WHAT THE FRICK?!?!? WHY THE HELL IS THE RING ON FIRE?!?!?
Girl1: Oh boy! Okuto's really pushed it this time.
Boy2: There's no way that guy will make it through! He'll be burned to a crisp!
(name) thinking: This is nuts! I can't do this! I'll be cooked alive!
You began to tremble with fear and you hesitated. Then you saw Kurumu. You saw her watching you and you gained your confidence back.
(name): No way! I can't give up now! Kurumu's watching me and I'm not gonna let her down!
And so with a crazy Tarzan yell, jumped off using the rope and swung through the hoop. Everything seemed to go in slow motion. You went through the hoop and landed safety on the platform. Everyone gasped with their jaws dropping and hands over their mouth.
(name) thinking: All right! That wasn't so bad. And I didn't even get hurt. Everyone is staring at my bodacity!
Sadly you were wrong. The reason why everyone was gasping was because the seat of your trunks was on fire. You didn't notice till after you smelled your burning shorts.
(name): YEEEOOOOWWWW!!!!! HOT!!! HOT!!!!! HOT!!!!!
You patted your butt like crazy until the flames had died down. Then you moved onto the next course.
Boy2: No way. This guy's been bruised and burned and he's still going! This dude's crazy!
Girl1: Either that or he's got guts.
Moka: I don't believe it. He's still going even though he's hurt.
Yukari: I guess I underestimated this guy. I'm impressed. Looks like you were right about this guy being unique. Eh Kurumu?
Again Kurumu said nothing. She looked on with interest and worry. As for you, you staggered onto the third and final part of the course which was walking across a bridge. As you cautiously walked across, you looked around for any booby traps, but you couldn't see any. Just when you thought you were safe, three canons popped out from each side of you and before you had a chance to react they began to fire giant rubber balls at you.
(name): OH COME ON!!!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!!!
You ducked and you dodged ball as they zipped past your head. You looked like an action hero dodging bullets. The class cheered as you kept dodging the balls. Then just you were doing good, a ball hit you square in the face making the class say oooooooo! It really hurt, but you pressed on. Then another ball hit you square in the back. Then the leg and then the arm. Now the pain was ringing throughout your body as the balls pelted you all over your body. You were getting a little dizzy, and you were beginning to black out. At first you saw nothingness, but then you heard a voice call out to you. Your vision was blurry for a moment, but then it adjusted and you saw who was calling to you. It was Kurumu.
Kurumu: Come on! Don't give up! You got this!
And she wasn't the only one who was cheering. All the other students were cheering for you too. This made you motivated and you as you got up. Then a ball came straight at you, but you were able to catch it. Then you used it as a shield and bounced back every ball that came at you. The finish grew closer and closer until you crossed it. As soon as you did the entire class cheered especially Kurumu who was cheering the loudest of all. You felt like you were the king of the world.
(name) BOOYAH!!!! IN YOUR FACE OBSTACLE COURSE!!!! YOU GOT SERVED!!!!!
You were so excited that you threw the ball you caught like a football. Then flew from where you bounced and it bounced off wall to wall and object to object like a pinball. It kept bouncing and bouncing until it headed for it's true target. You. And then with a mighty smack, the ball hit right smack dab in the last place you wanted to be hit. The netheregions. The class cringed from the impact. You were motionless for a moment. Then let out a high pitched scream that would have made a window break. The pain was so overwhelming that you couldn't take it. You fell over unconscious.
