"Hey, there can't possibly be a pool out back! There is no out back at all! This cabin is sitting at the edge of a cliff, remember?" you say, your insides feeling a little warmer, but still icy cold from Luke. "Oh, I beg to differ." Wil says, smiling at your confusion. "We do have a pool out back. Luke, can you kindly show him the way?" "Yes sir." he says, immediately walking away.
You quickly follow after him, sprinting a little bit. You stop and stay at around three feet behind him, so you can feel the horrid sensation the least while still able to keep a visual on him. After a short while, you're lead to a pair of glass double doors, with the sun shining through it. As Luke leaves, you peer inside and gasp as you see a huge swimming pool, right there in the sunlight! It took you a few seconds to realize that you look ridiculous staring through the door like that, so you enter the swimming pool area.
You look around and see a tall lifeguard's chair to the side, and there's someone there! You walk closer and see that it's Luke! "Hey, Luke! Is that you?" He sees you and jumps off the chair. "Nope, sorry. If I was, then I bet your insides would be getting frozen into an ice sculpture right now." He's right. He seems more active than Luke...And nicer, since you're not getting the same feeling off of him. "Anyway, my name's Lyle, Ly for short, but no one ever uses that one. But if you'd like, you can just call me some other names that start with 'L' such as Lee, or Lucian...or Lu...uh...Lenard, and um...Hmm...Darn, I'm all out..." Well, at least he's not acting scary like Luke. "So, Lyle...Can I go swimming?" "Sure! We've got a changing room around here, so you can change clothes if you'd like. Or better yet, how about you swim right NOW!!!"
Lyle grabs you by the shirt and 'lightly' pushes you toward the water. You manage to regain your balance a few steps away from the water. "Hey! What the heck was that for!?" you shout. "Hahahahaha! You don't know? Didn't Wil tell you that everything here has a special little side effect on the guests?" Your head starts filling with questions. But why would he try to make you go swimming like that? It's like he wants to see what happens..."Heheheh, alright...I'll tell you all about the side effects that can happen in this place. If you were to jump into that special water I made in my lab the other day." Special water from his lab? Does he mean the pool water!? No way would you want to come in contact with any unknown chemicals, not from this madman, er, boy. But, he said he'll tell you everything about the effects in this weird cabin...But who knows what'll happen to you if you jump in that pool! Are you willing to take that chance?   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
