"He shall be my perssssonal sssservant," said Jasmin. "With the understanding that he can eventually take on any job that he is capable of, should he prove loyal. In fact, if I think he'ssss worthy of it, I might ask for him to be my Royal Conssssort."
You chuckle nervously. "Um, thank you, your highness."
"That being sssaid, undersssstand thissss," said Jasmin. "It'sss one thing to turn out to be an incompetent persssonal ssservant, yet loyal, because maybe you're better sssuited to being a gardener inssstead, or sssome sssuch thing, but ssshould you prove to be disssloyal, or a trouble-making criminal, the punissshment can be ssssevere."
You gulped at this. "What kind of punishment are we talking about?"
"Depends upon the crime," said Jasmine. "That being said, we'll make sssure that you're educated on those laws, as well as the consssequencesss for breaking them, and we ssshould avoid any unplessantnesss, like sssay the amputation of a finger for theft."
"What if I lost my finger due to being injured in an accident?" you asked.
"As long as it wasn't while committing a theft, or another crime, you'd be given a ssscertificate ssstating that you weren't a criminal," said Jasmine. "Try ssstealing afterwards though, you lose the ssscertifricate, and another finger."
You chuckle nervously at this. "I'll keep that in mind."
"Good," said Jasmine. "Now, if that'sss the last of the Royal Necessities, there's a few thingsss that need to be taken care of."
"Like what?" you asked.
Jasmine chuckled, and said....
