Into something more exotic like the Melusine and Medusa, hmm? Well, there's nothing wrong with trying something different. Anyway, getting back down to business. Since there might be a few of you who have never heard of these two subspecies, then allow me to explain:
MELUSINE
A lamia subspecies with dragon wings on it's back, Melusines actually share some characteristics with Dragonnewts. However, they are more similar to sea snakes than terrestrial snakes, preferring to live by the shore. Unfortunately, a Melusine's wings aren't powerful enough to their serpentine lower bodies, making them useless. There is little information about this Lamia subspecies aside from what's already been mentioned.
MEDUSA
Also known as Gorgons, Medusas are a subspecies of Lamia with snakes for hair, adopting the name of the most famous of the 3 Gorgon Sisters in Greek Mythology and Legend. According to the myths & legends, a Medusa's gaze can turn any living creature into stone. That is, if said creature wasn't made of stone already. But in actuality, they possess no such ability. However, their gaze is very keen, and a Medusa's glare makes living creatures unable to move, immobilized, almost as if they have been truly turned to stone like in the legends from Ancient Greece. In reality though.....it's another story entirely. Turns out they have poor eyesight and only appear to be giving one the legendary gaze, despite a Medusa's lack of ill will. Because their is simply made of snakes, Medusas are troubled by the fact that they are unable to change their hairstyle.
