He knew her feelings for him, but he kept quiet, and was waiting for her to make the first move.
A few minutes later, he heard a knock at his door. He got up, and walked toward the door.
When he opened it, he saw that it was Alexis, and his heart stopped for a moment.
"Hey, Jay," Alexis said. "Can we talk?"
"Sure, Lex," Jaden said, causing Alexis to gasp. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. It's just that's the first time you've called me that in a while."
"Yeah, I guess. Well, come on in."
"Thanks."
