"Whats up? Can't you listen? I told you this is mine now so get off."
Alice glared up at the even bigger giantess, furious but helpless. Maria smiled at her expression.
"Did you want to have all the fun alone? Well that's just too bad for you, then! But don't worry, I don't plan to harm you. I just want to have some fun with these bugs of yours."
Alice was shocked. It was clearly visible in her face, and the sight made Maria laugh out loud.
"Wait a minute... Do you actually like them? That's so pathetic! Why would you ever want to associate yourself with such worthless little creatures?!"
Alice's face lit up with anger as Maria said this.
"I won't let you hurt them, Maria!" Alice exclaimed. "These people are my friends, and you... You'll have to get past me first if you want to do anything to them!"
Maria was still laughing uncontrollably, but she caught herself and looked down still smiling.
"So, how do you plan to stop me? I'm three times your size, little girl! There's no way a weakling like you could possibly do anything to stop a goddess like me! I guarantee you that by the time the sun goes down there will be nothing left of your precious 'friends' and their city. There's nothing you can do about it, so you might as well just give up now! But whatever... It's your choice, Alice: you can either walk away peacefully and let me have my fun, or you can continue to stand in my way die here alongside your puny friends!" Maria said with a malicious laugh.
By this point, Alice was truly terrified. Knowing that Maria's words were true, that there was nothing she could do to protect her beloved city, she turned around to begin running away. However, before she could get very far, Maria reached down and grabbed Alice by the wrist, stopping her in her tracks.
"Actually..." Maria said as she held her finger to her lips in a thinking pose, "I don't think I'll be letting you go after all. You are quite cute, so I think that I'll keep you. I'm sure that you'll make a great pet! Now, stay here little pet. Your new master still has some business to attend to, and if I see that you've moved from this spot when I come back, then you'll be getting some serious punishment!" Maria said sadistically as she turned her attention back to the tiny city at her feet.
Alice balled her fists in frustration as she helplessly watched Maria begin her rampage. She loved her city and its citizens, but what could she do against the sheer size of her opponent? Nothing, that's what... Alice was powerless against Maria, and she knew full well that fighting such a massive woman would only end in failure. But still, she couldn't let Maria kill everyone she loved! As Alice looked back to the city behind her and saw the suffering that her people were now enduring, and then up to the towering goddess who was cruelly obliterating everything she had spent her life protecting, Alice finally made her decision.
