*7 YEARS HAVE PASSED*
The city flourished. The former dilapidated shacks were replaced by beautiful wooden houses with tiled roofs. Wonderful bridges connected the two houses, converging on the main square, where a fountain stood on the site of the monument to Alice. The way of life of people has also changed. Now, living under the protection of Mary, they became artisans. They worked with derov, creating medel, working with precious stones, working with sheep's wool, creating clothes. Maria took on the role of protector, judge, and hunter. There were cases when robbers attacked the city, but when they saw Maria, they immediately ran away. Maria solved the disputes of the townspeople, but at the same time she also looked at the people themselves and the circumstances. And as a hunter, she hunted the carcasses of giant sea monsters. One carcass was enough for six months. I looked after the household. She was so kind that she forbade people to exalt her as a God. She didn't want to take too high statuses for herself. It can be said that under the control of a 300-foot giant, the city has gained a second life. People still remembered Alice, but she was more likely to scare children, saying that if you behave badly, then an evil giant dwarf will come at night and eat you. But no one was so afraid of her anymore.
But on this day, everything changed.
There were no holidays, the city was living another day, and Maria was sitting on a hill and singing a beautiful song with her sweet voice. Suddenly a bell rang in the city. Maria had offered to build it herself, so that they could warn her in case of danger. Maria stiffened, stood up, and walked over. The bell was rung by a 14-year-old boy. His name was Sam. He was a very active child and often ran in the woods.
"What's wrong, Sam?"
"Trouble, trouble, Alice has come!"
His voice was heard below. Everyone began to whisper, and someone began to cry.
"Don't worry. I swore an oath to you, and I will keep it. She dared to come, but now there will be no mercy for her."
Maria's words calmed the city. While the people were recovering from the shock, Maria went outside the city and stood in front of the forest.
A moment of silence held time and space together. The moment seemed to last forever. But soon there were tremors, the ground began to shake. Alice appeared. Her hair was disheveled, her dress was torn, and there was still a scar on her forehead. She proudly walked out of the forest and stood in an arrogant pose.
"Alice, I hope you're just lost. If so, I won't touch you, but if..."
"Yes, yes, yes, we've heard that before, - Alice simply interrupted Maria's speech.
Even the 300-foot giant faltered at this audacity.
"You think I came here just because I got lost?" No! I came here because of this! Alice said, and pointed to her forehead, where the scar was even more pronounced. "It still hurts sometimes. How disgusting it is.
"You've probably forgotten what you got it for."
"How can you forget that?" No. I came here to pay you back. Get it!
Only now did Maria notice that during the conversation, one of Alice's hands was clenched. Maria quickly got into a stance, preparing for everything. But instead of something special, Alice's fist opened and came out of it... A girl! She looked 6 years old, she was an exact copy of Alice, only more pure in terms of facial expressions. She was wearing a gray raincoat. The little one slowly moved towards the city.
Maria was in a stupor. She didn't understand. Why Alice brought the child. Before she could finish, Alice said:
"Come on, daughter.
"A daughter?"
Suddenly the baby began to grow. Her limbs lengthened, thickened, and the ground beneath her began to sit. All of her clothes were torn, leaving her completely naked at an altitude of 900 feet. Her huge body blocked out the sun for Maria.
"That's the height of a High Priestess." How? Why is it so huge? Maria herself was ready to faint.
The city began to panic. No one was prepared for this.
