She heads for the front gate and tries to find ...

Marie managed to reach the front gate and pushed it aside, making a creaking noise that startled her. She looked into the parking lot to find a yellow 2003 Hummer H2 sitting nearby.

She made her way toward the abandoned SUV. She found that the keys to the vehicle were taped to the one of the windshield. She also found a note taped to the drivers side door. Marie took the note and read it.

I've stashed a lot of guns and ammo in the back seats of my truck. The gas tank is full and there are several spare gas tanks in the back seat as well. My mommy and daddy have been killed be the monsters and I'm afraid that I may not survive much longer without a grown up. I hope this will help whoever finds it.

Marie couldn't help but burst into tears at the fact that an innocent child had died hoping his belongings would help someone else. She bent her head down in a silent prayer.
