Chapter #4

Room service

Jack knew the floors below him were probably crawling with zombies and that he wouldn't last long with just a handgun. The floor he was on now, however, seemed to be clear... just a few bodies here or there along with some day old blood stains. The entire placed looked like Freddy or Jason had just came through to start their own vacation, but at least it was safe... for now. "Guess I better hurry before those things decide to check out the higher floors..." Jack mumbled under his breath as he walked around to a row of rooms on the north side of the hotel. "Room 394, 395, 396, 397, 398, and 399... not really my lucky numbers... or maybe they are." Jack said as he slowly pulled the door to suite 394 open and stepped inside. The place was pretty clean except for a shattered lamp and overturned chair, which was a pretty good sign. "Alright, hopefully I'll find something useful in here." Jack said, trying his best to sound optimistic.

The living area was pretty much empty along with the bedroom and bathrooms, but the kitchen had a fire axe laying on the counter next to a bowl of rotting fruit. "Well now, I don't know how you got in here, but I'll take ya." Jack said as he opened the refridgerator and took out a bottle of water. After a quick sip he sat it back down and picked up his new axe. "Shit, my hands are getting full... need to find a backpack or something." Unfortunately, there was no backpack in this room or the next, which meant Jack would have to make do with just his own two hands for the time being. The next few suites he visited were cleaned out of anything useful, save for some food and drinks Jack couldn't take with him. By the time he had made it to room 399 he was starting to get tired and took a few minutes to rest and try to figure out what to do next. He chugged down a few mouthfuls of champaign from a half empty bottle and spent a few minutes staring at the ceiling. "Christ, what AM I going to do...?"

You have the following choices:

1. He checks the rest of this floor

2. He heads a higher floor

3. He heads to a lower floor
