Shark Tale

Your eyes perk up. You awake in a dark and slightly messing room. Your bed cover was wrapped around your body after tossing and turning so much. You slowly sit up on your bed as you softly grumble to yourself. You turn your head down towards your left to stare at your floor, which had a few pairs of shoes and slippers scattered around the floor. You didn't really worry about it much. Suddenly, a glimmer of light suddenly peers from the window right beside you. You slowly raise up the shutters, your eyes more than half closed from the amount of sunlight barging in. Within a minute or two, your eyes manage to dilate and open wide. You were living in a two story humble home. Behind your home, you were in view of a large beach shore and the Pacific Ocean. You smile. "Always an eye opener."

Outside, the shore was being plowed by small waves of ocean water. You soon walk up to the shore as small waves start wetting your bare feet. It really only took you a couple minutes to come out dressed in your black and white surfer suit. Your hair was black and spiked down a bit. You were also carrying your yellow surfboard in your left arm and a pair of binoculars around your neck. You take a deep breathe, and then let it out, "Ahhh... It's always a great sunny morning.", you say with a smile. You position your self to run towards the water, "Well, here we go...", you quickly stop just as you held out your surfboard. "Huh?"

You stand up straight and take a look through you binoculars out towards the sea. Looking through binoculars in its current zoom you were able to make out something floating out on the open water. "What's that?" You zoom in closer. Once you zoomed in close enough you how now spotted what looked like a humanoid body. "Holy crap!" You take off your binoculars and throw it don on the wet sand. You immediately run and throw yourself onto the water with your surfboard underneath you. You quickly paddle through the water and small waves to get to the floating body. With each paddle, your breathing grows faster and faster. Within a minute or two, you reach the floating figure. You get off your surfboard and pick up the figure, laying him on his stomach on your surfboard. You hurry back towards the shore as fast as you could. It took less longer for your to swim back since you had a little help from the small rising waves.

Within a minute, you reach the shore. You quickly lay the figure on its back and hold out your arms to perform CPR, "!!" You take a closer look at the body, backing your hands away a bit. "......It's a shark." An male anthro shark with grey skin to be exact. He had a shark fin on the back of his head and a pretty muscular build. His nose was pointed and rounded on the end, and stuck out a bit. The ends of his fingers and toes were pretty clawed-like. The only patch of clothing he had was a pair of dark-blue shorts. You examine the shark's head for a moment as you sat up on the beach with your hands on your lap. "Wow... I've heard of these guys. Just never got to see one up close." You slowly skim down the shark's body. Examining a little more of him, until, "!!!" The shark had a deep and bloody gash on the left side of his abdomen. "Oh shoot!" You quickly feel the shark's neck with two left fingers. He was still breathing, but barely. "Crap! I'll, I'll be right back!"

You quickly run off towards your two-story abode. A few seconds later, the shark suddenly slowly opens his eyes. He was barely able to open his eyes halfway. The shark just stared up into the sky. The sky had a few patches of clouds slowly passing by. He just lays there, staring at the blue sky for the time being. "Mmph... Guess...this'll be the last time...I get to stare out at the sky... ...Mm..." The shark slowly closes his eyes, "...Least I was able to see out of the water...this time..." Just before he closed his eyes fully, he caught a glimpse of you on the corner of his left eye.

You stood beside him on your knees for a moment. And then you quickly unwrap a big roll of bandages. As you proceed to cover up the shark's wound you start to think to yourself, "He woke up...to stare at the sky. ... Hopefully this won't be the last time." You look at the shark's face. You yell out to him, "Hand in there! You're not gonna die! Just hold on! You hear me!?"

Everything around the shark soon fades black. In a matter of seconds, a small bunch of bubbles float up in front of him. After that, everything around him starts to turn clear blue. As more bubbles began floating upwards around him, he slowly opens his finally. "Mm..." Upon opening his eyes, the first thing he sees in a room. "Hm?" It was a fairly decorated room with a flat-screen TV, two couches, one bigger, one smaller, and brown floorboard. It looked more like someone's living room. "... Where am I?" The shark suddenly hears some tapping, "!?"

The shark turns to his right, spotting you in front of him. "Oh thank god! You're awake!"

"Gah!" The shark swims back, only to him the another wall of glass behind him, "Ow!"

"Oops! Sorry. I normally try not to tap the glass. You feelin' okay?", you ask.

The sharks starts to look around. "Okay, where the hell am I?"

"Oh. You're in my fish tank.", you say with a happy smile on your face.

The shark takes a look around. There was a lot of open space around him. "This is a fish tank?"

Your fish tank actually stretches across half of your living room and stretches up to the ceiling. You start to scratch the top of your head, "Oh. Yeah. I guess it's more of an aquarium than a fish tank."

"Am I the only one in here?"

"Oh no. Rick's in here too."

"Rick? Who's Rick?" A fairly large blue bass suddenly swims up in front of the shark, "?"

"He's my pet bass. Caught him about a month ago." You watch as the shark stares at the bass for a moment. "Heh. He's saying hello to you."

"Yeah..." The shark turns to you, "He also says it's lonely in here."

You have the following choices:

1. He seems to have healed enough. Let him out.

*Noteb*
2. He doesn't seem to have healed enough. Keep him in.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
