"I was born this way. Scientist didn't know why I was born so small but I was and they're still trying to figure out why," she said looking like she was about to cry again. You couldn't stand another watershow so you try to think of something to say.
"So how small were at birth?" you ask out of stupidity. You thought she was about to cry again when she looked at you and laughed.
"One inch and three ounces." she says as she actually starts to laugh. "Why you don't know how I could be any smaller?"
Her laugh is starting to make you laugh, "I guess so." you say trying to keep a straight face.
"We're home!" you here come from the front door.
"My parents," you whisper to the girl. She nods and grabs another hand full of turkey.
"What are you going to do?" she asked you as she came closer.
"Hey mom," is all you say as you pick up the plate that has the girl on it.
"Hey dear how was your day?" your mom asks as she comes up stairs with a a couple of bags.
"Same as usual need help?"
"Sure you can put your sandwich down and help your dad get the rest of the bags."
"Okay," and like that you walk into your bedroom and put the plate down. You have no time to say anything so you pick up the small girl and put her in your pocket as you bring the bags in. It takes two trips to bring everything in and you go into the back room and finish your talk with the little girl. You pull her out of your pocket and apologies to her about that. She .....
