Chapter #3

Forbidden part of library

    by: Unknown
As Jack sat down in his little sanctum, far from the rest of the Academy in an old sector of the library and lamented his situation. How could he have been sent to an all GIRLS school? Some idiot at one of the offices that dealt with warrants and official matters no doubt. Bloody incompetents, he thought. Then again... Being in a school full to the brim of incredibly beautiful girls had its up sides. The dorms were one. The shifts the girls wore were pretty revealing, being low cut enough that you could get a brilliant view of their tits if they were at the right angle. He had to wear the same style shift though, and if he was sitting down on the side of his bunk they got a pretty clear view too. He'd tried to avoid doing so after the first time.

Slowly his thoughts drifted to the girl who slept in the bed directly behind him. The beds were in long rows in narrow rooms with about six feet of floor space separating the two rows of beds which were at either side, against the wall. Each bed space had a space in the wall half way along for personal belongings, and some books if they so wished. They were little more than holes really, about two feet by two, and around a foot deep though it varied. The best part of that setup though was that each person's head was within whispering distance of the one behind them, so two people could whisper quietly without being heard at night.

Jack had always preferred girls as friends over boys, solely because they were so much more understanding and sensitive. Boys could be good fun for a kick about with a football, or cricket, or any number of other athletic activities, but girls were far better at matters of the heart, and understanding yourself which was something that Jack yearned for. He'd never understood himself really and his self esteem was down around his ankles, never really believing he could do much apart from possibly being a cook or something at his family's restaurant in Y'run, a small village on the north road out of the capital city, Iuru (Pronounced 'Eeyou-rou').

But Viola was different to any other girl he'd ever met. He could get lost in her eyes, could talk to her for hours and hours without running out of things to talk about, trusted her with anything, including his life and was thoroughly smitten with her and as far as he knew she felt the same. He felt drawn to her not only because she liked breaking the rules and did so on a regular basis, and not only because of her perfect figure and triple D breasts but because she was the only girl he'd ever met that had really tried as hard as she could to understand the Jack that lay underneath all the layers and protective walls that he'd built around his heart because of the intense physical and mental bullying that he received from not just the youths that lived in the City and came to the bar across the road from his family's restaurant, but also his father.

As he studied his hands and stared out of the aged window that lay just down the row of bookshelves, he noticed a book on the floor. It was thick, and clearly very old and weathered. Bound in black leather with deep green binding and inlays, with shattered remains of a silver padlock that clung to the tattered edges of the cover. He walked over to the book and picked it up, turned it over and was about to put it back on it's shelf when he read the name on the spine:

The Old Gods
The study of, Beliefs, and ways of the Kaotic Gods, and the Green Mantle, their followers.

Jack was intrigued. He'd never heard of this organisation or the gods they served. And Kaotic? That was an ancient way of spelling Chaotic. Really, really old, dating back five, six thousand years. These gods must have proceeded Christianity and Islam by a good thousand years. And taking into consideration the clear evidence of the existence of Hell and daemons, these gods could be or could have been real. He opened the book to the first page and the destroyed padlock clattered onto the oak table as he sat down. He began reading...

'This book may only be read by those of the fair hand. The language inside is intelligible and cannot be interpreted by a male and will cause a confused state to the mind that will last up to seven sundowns. Page 616 explains the process of undergoing a transformation from male to female for those wishing to access the contents of this tome.'

Odd. He turned opened the book at a random place to see a swirling unintelligible mass of black ink which caused his vision to swim slightly. He quickly shut the book. He wanted to know more but a female transformation? That was pretty drastic...

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. What the hell, page 616!

2. This is too much. Put the book away.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
