Reaching a compromise

"Hey, that's still way too big!", said Eiko as Squidgirl stopped shrinking at 7 feet in height.

"Why? This is a manageable size, and I won't be breaking anything!" Squidgirl said.

"You'll still scare off the customers!"

"It might actually lure them... Don't you ink so, Eiko?" Squidgirl responded

"Our beach house is NOT going to become some kind of freak show!" Eiko said angrily.

"Don't be like that! I'm positive I can work even more efficiently like this!" Squidgirl said.

She then began to walk away, but ended up hitting her head on the doorframe as she walked to the kitchen.

"Owch!" Squidgirl yelped, rubbing her head to ease the pain. Eiko simply laughed.

"More manageable, you said?" Eiko mocked her.

"Maybe you have a point... How about this then?" Squidgirl proposed, shrinking to 6'6''.

"That's still too much! How many people have you seen who were that tall?"

"Come on, Eiko" said Chizuru, suddenly walking into the room. "I think you should be more understanding with poor Squidgirl."

Squidgirl was overjoyed, as Chizuru's unexpected support was a major boost in the argument.

"Big sis, why are you siding with her? This is ridiculous!"

"I just don't see what harm it could do. Why don't we let this one slide."

"Mph! I don't think it's a good idea at all, but whatever" Eiko conceded.

"Thank you very much Chizuru, I really appreciate it." Squidgirl said, almost moved to tears.

"You're welcome. By the way Squidgirl, could you please go on an errand for me?" Chizuru said, writing down what she needed in a paper.

"Sure, I'll be back soon!" Squidgirl replied cheerfully.

Squidgirl then quickly ran Chizuru's errand so that she could have some free time. As she wandered aimlessly around on the beach, she...
