“tch You’re not really giving me much of a choice now are you?” The lion masked guard to the side of the Debukage slammed his fist against her desk. “You dare speak, in the presence of the Debukage, with such casual disregard!?! You should consider yourself lucky we don’t tear-!” The weighty leader raised her arm to silence the short tempered guard. “That’s enough Takeda!” She gave a nod to Kasumi, prompting her to end the jutsu binding Tsunade. The tendril slowly sunk back into the ground revealing some sort of summoning circle which soon after faded away.
“Lady Tsunade, it isn’t our intention to force you into an alliance. We believe this relationship between us could be a great help to both of our nations. We believe so strongly in this alliance that we had to demonstrate to you our courage, capabilities and conviction by bringing you here to speak face to face on the issue. Had we been allied before hand, I assure you, many hardships the Hidden Leaf may have endured could have been quickly and quietly dealt with. Weather you’re facing a famine, economic strife, or maybe even a clan trying to perform a coup, we can, would and will be there to help. Ultimately though, the choice is yours. Should you deny our request I’ll have Kagero here escort you back to where you belong.”
She gestured towards a large man in a gorilla mask, meditating atop a rock at the koi pond. He wore a purple outfit befitting a monk, a wood bead necklace and oddly enough black gloves. “Now does this ‘where I belong’ happen to be back home or in a cell?” Tsunade wondered. She thought on the offer for a bit and decided to take her thinly veiled threats and teases to heart. “I’ll… give it some thought. Unfortunately, this isn’t exactly something I can agree to on the spot so… when I get back to the office I’ll see what I can do. No promises though.”
The Debukage arose from her seat and made her way to our desperate heroine. “Lady Tsunade I must thank you from the bottom of my heart for speaking with us on the matter.” She extended her arm out awaiting a hand shake from the Hokage. She sighed and begrudgingly shook her hand.
“So, if I do end up agreeing to this alliance, just who do I have the pleasure of negotiating with?” The Debukage gave her new friend a bow. “Sayaka Hanzo, first Debukage.” Sayaka beckoned over the other kunoichi in the room. “Isamu, would you be so kind as to accompany our esteemed guest until she gets home?” Isamu was a little chunkier than Kasumi. Along with her purple uniform, she wore a vulture mask and a red ribbon around her hammy arm. “Of course ma’am,” she said with a salute.
“Really? And here I was thinking Kagero would be escorting me. Wonder what changed.” Tsunade’s snide remark put a devious smile on Sayaka’s face. “hmh Perhaps something in the air just made me reconsider. Don’t worry though, Isamu is just as wonderful!” The more she talked to the two-faced leader, the more she was regretting ever coming into contact with her. “Come on… gotta try and look on the bright side,” she thought to herself as she headed out the door with Isamu by her side.
