That same day training ended and Sakura had gone to the center of Konoha to buy groceries. She was still pondering what her mentor had told her earlier about breathing. Even ninja academy students know that proper breathing is necessary to attain the focus to do many jutsu, but the way Tsunade said it it seemed as if there was something more.
As the pink haired girl went into the shopping district to buy some food for dinner she heard a commotion. Turning to look and see what was going on she saw a group of villagers running away. Drawing near she saw a lone ninja with dirty blonde hair, he was tall and wel muscled, and was wearing a blank ninja headband. His eyes were bright but bored looking, his black and silver outfit attracting much attention.
"Who is that?" Sakura asked another ninja, a chunin who seemed to be watching. The man shrugged, but his expression was serious.
"No idea, the guy literally appeared out of nowhere. I'm going to check it out though." he said before going forward to confront the stranger. "Hey you, who are you and why're you here?"
The stranger rolled his eyes and started walking away, ticking off the konoha ninja off.
"Hey I'm talking to y-" he began before the stranger moved quickly, his palm was covered in darkness. The unknown ninja hit the man once and suddenly he was covered and rocketed backward into a building.
The blonde stranger then tried to go forward again, but this time Sakura got in front of him. She remembered she had a duty as a ninja of Konoha to stop anything that threatened her home's safety.
"Stop right there!" she said, standing confidently. She didn't have to beat him, but hold him off until more ninja came. The man looked amused.
"You're gonna fight me?" he asked, his voice surprisingly lax and jovial. Sakura said nothing but focused her chakra to her hands and legs for combat she then attacked.
She tried striking him with simple and effective attacks, but he evaded and deflected them all quickly. After a couple minutes she realized her attacks weren't working.
When she want backwards though, the enemy used that strange jutsu again and tried to hit her. Sakura just managed to evade from sheer luck. She knew it wouldn't happen a second time and backed away. She couldn't evade again or take it head on...She was stuck...Unless...
'This better work..' Sakura thought, breathing heavily as she performed the hand signs for Bird, Ox, and Dog. She focused as much as she could and got an odd sensation, she assumed it meant the jutsu worked.
