After the room cleared of students, partly due to his work etheic and partly due to not knowing what else to do Matt decided he should limp through the conferences. He also decided to text Zach Connors back since one way or the other this body would end up back threre, he typed in "My conferences go till 6:30 if you want to wait." Thankfully Julie had made a fiar amount of good notes with soem specifics for each kid for the conferences. Matt figured with the notes she had left if he told each set of parents that he was feeling a little under the weather that they'd forgive him for not being chatty and he could get through it.
the first one was for a student named Luke Smith and his parents seemed underatnading when Matt told them he wasn't feeling great but didn't want to have to make them reschedule. he was able to tell them about a couple projects and Lukes general progess and they seemed happy.
The rest of the conferences went pretty similarly and a couple of the parents had even brought small thank you gifts. only a couple were difficult asking lots of questions that Matt didn't know the answers to, so he made some stuff up or said he hadn't prepared notes about those things and would get back to them. By the end of it he was exhausted. As he left teh room he had to find Julie's car, hell he had to find the faculty parking! He thought the parking area was arounf the back of the building wing he was hin but he didn't know the internal halls so he went outside and walked around the building. He looked through Mrs. Connors' bag to find car keys and found a key faub for the car with some other keys on it as well. the faub had a honda enblem on it and he started pressing the lock button to see which car would honk. Across the lot a blue Accord honked and he walked over to it. it smelled like perfume as he got in. He put the address from her drivers license into the map app on her phone and drove "home".
A little over 10 minutes later he pulled into the driveway of a one story ramber styler home with a couple lights on inside. Before he opened the garage door he paused to collect himself, he was about to enter the lions den in his estimation. would his onld body be in there? Julie connors in his old body hadn't reached out to him all day, why hadn't he reached out to her/himself?
