The giant's lair

Looking around, you notice a lot of doors, some of them bigger than a 6-story building. Trying your luck, you slide under one of the giant doors and once inside, you notice it's for a little girl. Well, not "little," because it's for a giant. Curious, you climb onto the bed, which happened to be 8-stories tall, and was exhausted when you got to the top. However, you hear footsteps, or what is considered as footsteps, heading towards the room. Now running, you spot a hole in the ground you're running on and dive into it, just as the door opens. Who was standing in the doorway?
