As he arrived to the shore, he saw daddy walking toward the latrine they dug when they arrived, so he understood he’d be out of view for a little while.
Conscientiously docking the small boat, he grabbed the Spindrift both hands and carried it to the tent. The tiny captives inside his pocket were kicking and yelling something like: “Let us go! We are not toys, you have no right to keep us!”, which made Drew giggle a little, the tiny kicking were more tickling than anything.
In the first place, he thought it would be better to show his dad his found, but boys would be boys, he instead hid the tiny shinny red spaceship under a tarpaulin near his camp bed. Inside the ship, Steve the captain left the cockpit to check on the stewardess Betty Hamilton, the passengers Valery Scott, and the four noisy girls 10 years old Julie, 11 years old Elizabeth, 12 years-old Rebbecca, and 13 years old Gina. The two women has succeeded to made them be quiet.
“Listen up now, I know the situation is frightening, but if you all collaborate, we’ll find a way to get out of here.”, he said with either way a comforting and authority tone.
Gina asked: “What about the others who were out? Are they okay?”
“I don’t know”, said Steve “We have to wait and see, I will try to have a look, now we cannot see anything, I’m not sure were we are either, the boy seem to have thrown a tarpaulin or blanket on the ship.”
In one of the giant cargo pocket, Barry and Kevin saw light coming from the top they then been a little darker as a huge hand reached down at them. Screaming in panic, they tried to escape it, but there were no place to go in there. The fingers were probing them few seconds before closing around Kevin’s body and been picked up away from Barry who was crying. The tiny boy in the giant kid’s hand yelled at him: “Hey leave me alone, I’m not yours!” But, almost careless, he laid the tiny kid on his back on a camp table and used pieces of duct tape to restrain him, arms at horizontal position, like a T and legs spread. No way to budge very much then.
Shoving his hand again in his pocket, he picked up Barry who have stopped crying, but he was in chock. He barely reacted even been hand held. He passively let Drew scotching him at the left of Kevin in the same posture. For the tiny guy, it was some kind of a nightmare he thought he’d awake from it sooner or later.
When Marc Wilson, the hot engineer, saw the giant boy’s hand reaching down at them, he grabbed it and tried to climb it to escape. “Ah you are a funny one little toy, you want to play eh?”, said the boy giggling. But very quickly the man felt his left leg’s ankle been pinched and he has been lifted, he was dangling upside down to his horror. “Hey put me on the floor you brat! I’m not your toy, I'm a human being!”, he complained very upset. But he also ended up restrained on the table next to the boys exactly the same way they were.
Dan Erickson heard everything from inside the pocket, so he thought it was not a good idea to be argumentative. Beside he guested that it would be an improvement for not been in a so small area he shared with Marc earlier. Sure he was a bit scared, but the giant was a kid and he thought he could deal with him if he played the game skillfully. Then the hand picked him up. He didn’t understand why, but for him, it was more like a hug or something. It was warm, not held too tight and been brought next to the boy’s face. He’s not attracted to kids, but he had to admit he was very good looking. Drew seem to like having him in his fist, intrigued by his skin color difference as he is a brown color-skinned. Then Dan has been scotched in the same posture with the others.
During that time, Steve have opened the ship hatch and crawled under the tarp. The floor was a tightly woven waterproof canvas. There were folds he had to be careful not to trip over. He found out he was inside a giant tent. Suddenly he heard something beside him, which made him jump. Turning around he saw it was Valery who decide not to stay inside the spaceship. Upset, the captain whispered: “Hey what are you doing here Miss Scott? Go back and hide, it’s dangerous here!”
But that woman is very stubborn, she told back with a very arrogant tone: “Hey Captain, no one tells me what to do!”
Steve cannot have an argument at that moment, it could have betrayed their presence. So he bit his tongue, and let it go. Staring at the gigantic place, they saw 2 huge camp beds, a cooler, and also the back of the giant boy seated at the camp table. From their point of view, they were only able to see the chair legs and under the seat. They were also able to see the boy’s low legs dressed with a long beige trouser. Impossible to see what he was doing at the table until they heard him talking and also some muffled voices they recognized.
“No stop touch me giant!” It was Kevin voice, begging the giant
“You are my toys now tiny guys who invaded my planet!”
