"Damn pants."
Jane pulled her jeans up all the way over her pudgy ass, only to hear the sickening sound of fabric tearing, tearing right down the seam between her butt cheeks. She blushed, her cherubic cheeks filling with scarlet out of pure embarrassment. It had happened before and it would happen again, but every time a pair of pants split down the middle, she felt humiliated on the inside all the same.
"Damn it," Jane mumbled as she threw on some new pants, dressing in her ordinary dark attire. Her spiked bracelets covered her lack-of wrists, wrists covered up by flesh. Finally dressed, she was off to school.
But not after first checking the forums for any development on the new Romero movie coming out.
Upon arriving at school, she did what she traditionally did, went to her group of friends. They were all just as dark looking as she was, of all different sizes. Her best friend, however, was Emily, who dressed actually completely in white. It was odd, but, if anything, the white was unsettling when one took into account her already pale skin and died pewter hair. She looked like a ghost, which was the whole idea of her choice in clothing.
She was also a stick.
"So what's up?" Emily asked as Jane plopped herself down next to her.
"Eh, not too much," Jane replied, "Pants friggen ripped, which sucks, but other than that, I'm fine."
"Oh, ya know, maybe you ought to diet if your pants keep ripping. No offense, but this is kinda the fourth pair you've torn this month, right?"
"Fifth," Jane replied, her chubby cheeks filling with red.
"All the more reason to just lose this flab. C'mon, I'll even help," Emily replied, smiling.
