"I don't know?" Jason said. he picked a random choice, he truly didn't know. What did happen was that his head and his mother's had been swapped. But when he turned to look at his mother, he knew right away what had happened. He saw his mother had his body. Her face hadn't changed but the body, including his hair, now belonged to his mother. She was even wearing the red shirt he had been wearing.
Jason looked down at himself. He could see the green and white polka dot v-neck blouse he was wearing and the outline of his new boobs underneath.
Jason's mother could see that too. She could even see the earrings in his ears. She knew something was wrong. She saw the device activate, but she didn't have a good grip on the device so she didn't know exactly what happened. She looked at her son, in her former body and simply recognized him, even though he had what was formerly her long hair and breasts.
"Oh My God," Jason said. "We swapped bodies!"
Now that Jason mentioned it, Jason's mother could see the difference. "Look what you've done!" she said. She sat down propping up her head with her new hand and looked into space. "You've gone too far!"
