The sun shining through the branches of the trees heating. The humidity was high, making every thing wet and sticky. It was a typical summer's day.
Most creatures would not be about this time of day, but Alender was not the typical creature. He was a faerie dragon. His kind enjoyed this time of year. Alender stalked the forest in witch he protected. He never liked to face trouble, but he did his job for the small folk that dwell their. When he was younger his mother told him that it was the job of all faerie dragons to take care of the forest, handed down from them from their ancestors.
Alender's ears started to pickup a sound of two gnomes yelling. To a human ear it would sound like chirping. He rushed over see what was the problem.
"You worm-feed mush brained-" One of them was ranting. He was much older looking then the other gnome.
"Hay now! No need for name calling. What's the problem here?" Alender interrupted.
"This man is trying to steal my home!" The older one said.
"He never claimed all of it! The left side was completely abandoned!" The younger one explained pointing at a log that had two large holes for doorways.
"Just because I don't use all of the log dose not make it not mine!" argued the older one.
