"Let's try out for the Swim Club!" Kate said energetically.
"Yeah, let's not..." you sulk at the mere thought of even getting even remotely close enough to Chris for her to punch you, forget joining a club with her!
"Kate, that's kind've a sensitive topic..." strokes your shoulder encouragingly
As you and your friends trod down the hall at a snail's pace, none out of the three of you had so much as poked your head into any of the doors left open for potential club-goers all around the school. Being the first day of the second semester, Winter Clubs were open for recruitment and Summer Clubs were closing. As such, both second period and half of third had been cancelled so that students could walk around the school and weigh the options regarding which of the many clubs offered they would like to join. Of course you were no exception, having the only guy in school on a team or in a club was a strange honor in a way! So with that, all of your teachers had strongly encouraged you to pick something worthwhile and fulfilling. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to catch your eyes...
Mainly you were just doing this because you had to. Being part of the "Going Home Club" since early childhood, you weren't that into club activities. But more importantly, you were doing this in hopes of getting to spend more time with your friends; and hopefully make some new ones.
However, making new "friends" didn't seem like it was going to be a real option...
"LET GO!!" a chubby brunette shouted as she tugged at your arm, "CJ's joining the Photography Club!!" on the opposite side, a bulky blond tugged at your other appendage, "No! He's joining the Volleyball team!" you couldn't do much other than just stand there, not much hope of getting out of this hold. Besides, Rebecca was coming to the resuce just like always. She tugged at your middle and used her superior bulk to yank you away from the two feuding fatties, "Alright, break it up, break it up!" she said sternly. "You alright, CJ?"
"I think you made my shoulders pop!"
"Well good, next time don't dawdle." she giggled as she pushed you in the right direction, slapping you on the butt to hurry you up. "So, have any time while you were in there to think about what club you want us to join?" she said cheerfully. "No... and I'm really just thinking about giving up on the whole "club" thing and just going back to my flat..." Becca smiled, "Oh come on CJ, don't be that way, besides I think we've found one that you'll really enjoy."
You look up at her round face, her long brown hair framing those chubby cheeks of hers that bunched up as she smiled at you, "Really, like what?" you ask somewhat meekly, hope rising ever so slowly.
"You'll see in a sec, come on, I left Kate there so I would see it again."

"Hey Hey, it's CJ Dalton!" a familiar voice calls to you, instantly you recognize it as the bringer of glorious food, the one who gives you all those delicious meals when it comes lunch time. "Bunnie!" you shout back, rushing up to give her a quick fist pump, "What's up, you running a cooking club this semester?" you ask casually
"Sure am!" she says energetically, her rounded face bearing a big smile like always, "Me and Ms. Telleri got approval to co-sponsor, so we're hoping for a big turnout- and with you signed up we'll be sure to get it!"
She shows you in by sliding back into the wide doorway, her humongous boobs still making a bit of an obstacle of themselves as you try to avoid headbutting her cleavage. And surprisingly, taking in the overall obesity that engulfed the student body (or bodies), and all the delicious goodies laid out, Kate and an unfamiliar (though quite rotund) woman were the only two people in the classroom! "Yeah, sad, huh?" Bunnie said solemnly, "You'd think with how great my food is and how popular Ms. Telleri is, we'd have a way better turnout."
"Yeah, you'd really think so!" Rebbecca said as she made her way over to the confection table, "I know your stuff is good Ms. Telleri, why wouldn't anyone sign up?!" she turned to her teacher, who sighed through her cupcake, "The Culinary Arts are so underappreciated..." she said quietly as she eyed her cupcake in a Hamlet-esque fashion before devouring the poor pastry. "So, what do you say CJ?" Bunnie jumped in front of you, "Ya wanna join my club?"
"W-Well, yeah!" is all you can say, how could you turn down your good ol' buddy Bunnie in her hour of need?! "So long as this doesn't interfere with our Game Night!"
