Something Else?

What else could happen to the two dragons?

Choice 1: A mental change. The machines don't do anything to them physically, but when Spyro and Cynder exit the pods, they find themselves acting differently.
It doesn't take long for them to discover that the machines caused them to swap their personalities!
What's worse; the machines suffered a breakdown and they can't be used to swap them back before they are fixed!
The only place where they could find someone to help repear them, is the Dragon City of Warfang.
However; with Spyro now having Cynder's personality and Cynder having Spyro's, it would be quite a challenge for them to pretend that nothing is wrong...

Choice 2: When the machines stop, Spyro and Cynder somehow find themselves inside a pair of glass tubes. After a confusing moment, they both somehow manage to escape through some very tiny cracks in the tubes, only to then discover that they are both spirits!
It is only when the pods open and they see their own bodies slumped over, that they realize that they aren't dead. Instead, the machines extracted their souls from their bodies and would've collected them, if not for the cracks in the tubes.
After a moment to compose themselves, Spyro and Cynder find out that their current state allows them to possess other creatures and objects, which they'll have to make good use of to get back to normal, once they discover that they can't enter either of their bodies anymore...
