Chapter #8A special announcement! by: Unknown The intercom, which was a series of copper pipes that ran through the walls of the school, allowing one person to speak into a funnel in one room and the person in another room could hear them clearly, as if they were actually there, gave a short whistle that rang throughout the building.
The students in class, including Dimitri, looked up from their schoolwork. This was usually a sign that something important was going on.
Ignitus' voice began to speak. "All students, including the faculty, should assemble in school hall immediately to hear a very important announcement," he said, sounding quite cheerful.
The students and faculty began to make their way to the school hall.
"What do you think the announcement could be?" asked Ash, walking next to Dimitri.
The black dragon shrugged. "Dunno," he said, "but from the tone of the Headmaster's voice, I don't think it could be anything bad."
The students took their seats on stone benches that stood below the stage, where the school's faculty sat. Headmaster Ignitus was there, watching the young dragons enter with a kind expression.
When everyone was seated and things had quieted down, Ignitus began to speak. "Young dragons," he began, "we do apologise that we had to interrupt your daily schedule to bring you this announcement, but it's quite important, like I said, and you may also like it a lot."
As the Headmaster spoke, Dimitri noticed that their were three dragons on the stage that he had never seen before.
"I'd like to introduce you to three new members that will join our faculty," Ignitus said, "They will also be hosting new clubs that you young ones can sign up for. Without further delay, here they are: Magnus, Bubba and Draco."
Ignitus stepped out of the way, and the three new dragons stepped forward. Dimitri raised his eyebrows. Their looks were quite interesting, but not too unusual.
The first one was an orange and yellow dragon, who was quite short (even a fully grown dragoness would be taller than him) and obese, his big belly hanging almost past his knees. He had a strong jaw and handsome face.
The second was was taller and very muscular, even by dragon standards, his body rippling and twitching with power. He seemed even stronger than Terrador.
His blue scales had strange markings, and his underbelly was white. He also had a handsome face,but was slightly disfigured by scars.
The last one was the tallest and very thin, a cloak covering his lavender colored scales. He wore glasses and had long beard growing from his chin.
Though, there was something odd about him. His head seemed a little...too big, like someone had stuffed some cotton inside his cranium. But maybe it was just naturally so.
"I'm Magnus," said the short orange dragon, "I'll be giving you cooking classes for whoever wants to join my classes Saturday afternoon. Also, I'm the head of the Lard Society Club. For does who want to put some meat on their bones, come and join me."
"My name is Bubba," said the buff dragon, "I'll be the assistant who will be helping Terrador during your training sessions. Also, I'm the head of the Musclehead Club. If there's anyone who want to become as big and powerful as me, don't be shy. sign yourself up."
The thin dragon stepped forward. "My name is Draco," he said, speaking very sophisticatedly, "I will be assisting your History and English teacher, Cyril. I am head of the Bookwyrm Club. Please, if there is anyone who would like to discover the infinite wonders of literature, sign yourself up and join today."
The new dragons went to take a seat and Ignitus stepped forward again. "That will be all, young ones," he said, "You have chance to sign yourself up for these clubs this coming week. You can registrate yourself outside. Have a good day, students!"
A crowd had formed before the notice board, where students were trying to register themselves for the new clubs.
"Are you going to sign yourself up?" asked Ash.
"Yup," said Dimitri.
"Which one?"
"Hmm..."
Which one did Dimitri choose?
Choice 1: Dimitri signs himself up for the Lard Society Club. He was interested in what they do. It could be interesting to get fat on purpose.
Choice 2: Dimitri signs himself up for the Musclehead Club. He was hoping to get as buff as Bubba.
Choice 3: Dimitri signs up for the Bookwyrm Club. He isn't very book smart. Maybe this club could help him.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
