Chapter #4

It's a huge rhino woman (Mother!)

    by: Unknown
You nearly wet yourself as your opponent steps through the gate. A ten foot tall, anthro rhino woman, wearing black armor, with a large battle axe in her hands. But by far the scariest thing about her, was the horn on the end of her nose that had to be as long as your arm.

The only thing you had to protect you was the weapon and armor the amazons had given you. A breastplate, shin guards, bracers, a helmet resembling that of a Spartan, and something like a leather kilt covered your thighs.

You are completely screwed.

“Begin!” Nara shouted, echoing across the stadium. The rhino let out a blood curdling war cry, as she lowered her body and charged, horn aimed straight at you. Each footstep made the ground beneath you shake. You had to think, and fast! Otherwise you would be impaled like a shish-kabob.

You quickly duck and roll to the side as she charges past you, skidding to a stop before turning around and charging you again. Suddenly an idea hits you. You raises you double bladed sword and throw it like a spear. It sails through the air and hits its’ mark, hitting the rhino in the eye.

See suddenly stops charging, and screams in pain. You smirk. You knew being on your school’s javelin team would come in handy. But then your realize that your move was very foolish.

The blade had pierced her eye, but it didn’t go into her brain. Not only that, but now you have no weapon, and you seriously pissed your opponent off.

Yanking the sword from her bleeding eye, the rhino raised her axe over her head and ran towards you, ready to cleave you in two. You get another idea and pray that it works. Once she is a mere foot away, you side-step and stick out your leg, tripping her.

“Timber!” You think to yourself as she seems to fall in slow motion, face down into the sandy ground, making it quake as she lands hard. Her axe has flown out of her hands and lies several feet away. You jump onto her back and wrap your arms around her thick, sinewy, tree trunk-like neck, and squeeze with all your might.

The rhino chokes and gasps for breath as she gets back on her feet. As you cut off her air, she back up against the arena wall and slams you into it, knocking the breath out of you. She presses her back against the wall, crushing you between it and her armor.

As the air is pressed from your lungs, you squeeze even tighter around her neck. It was a battle of breaths. Who would hold out the longest? You can feel some of your bones popping and cracking as she presses ever harder.

With your last bit of strength, you give her neck one more mighty squeeze. The rhino gives one last coughing choke, before she falls to her knees, and collapses. You uncurl your arms from her neck and climb off of her, sucking in loud breaths of air. You look up at the crowd. For a moment, everything is silent as they take in the shock of you defeating such a brutish opponent. Then suddenly…….

You have the following choices:

1. The crowd bursts into applause

*Noteb*
2. The crowd boos and hisses

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
