You make your way over to the ruined hut. It is a bamboo and straw house ready to crumble to the ground, you doubt anyone has lived here for years. You step inside to see the interior isn't any better than the outside. A fire pit with a huge cauldron is in the center of the hut, with various objects hanging from the ceiling, stick figures, bottles, bones.
Wait a minute, bones? Various animal skulls hang on ropes from the rafters. Jars of various spices and ingredients on shelves line the walls. You take a closer look, and see some of the jars contents are quite frightening. Eyeballs, tongues, etc.
You decide perhaps it would be better to find another place to hide. But as you turn around, a dark figure is standing in the doorway of the hut. It is a grey wolf with long black hair, dressed in a black robe. "What are you doing in my house?" She asks menacingly.
"I.....uh......" You are too scared to speak right. You steps toward you, and sniffs you. "What are you?" She asks. "Hu....hu.....human." You stutter. "Human? Never heard of a human before. But whatever you are, you must be an outsider."
She snaps her fingers, and you suddenly can't move! You're frozen as still as a statue! "And if you're an outsider, then that means you are being hunted, right?" You are unable to answer. She turns around and begins taking down various jars off the walls.
"I've never had human before, but I'm sure you'll make a fine stew." Stew!? She's gonna make you into stew!? She snaps her fingers again, and a fire lights under the cauldron in the center of the room, and the cauldron is instantly full of yellow broth.
She begins adding various ingredients into the broth. "Don't bother hoping the hunters will find you first. They won't come near this place, because they know I live here, and they wouldn't dare trespass. You see, I was banished from the city. I was once the empress's royal magician, but they found out I was turning citizens into food."
She pulls out a knife and begins slicing carrots as she continues. "It's been a long time since I've had a proper meal. I've had to live off of fruit and fish. But I'm sure you'll do just fine."
You begin sweating with fear as she continues adding vegetables to the soup. You pray that you'll somehow make it out of this alive.
