About an hour later, two skateboards, one a standard and the other a reinforced longboard, ground to a stop near the boardwalk. Max kicked his board up and tucked it under his shoulder. He wore a baggy sleeveless shirt and squiggly-patterned swimshorts, while PJ wore a big shirt that didn’t quite cover his belly and plain blue shorts with sandals.
“So,” Max asked. “Whatcha wanna do?”
PJ mulled the auestion over, still holding his book.
