"Why not ask your Dad? I mean....you usually know how to turn the screws on him to get your way, right?" PJ said, looking sidelong at his friend. Max paused in thought. His father was usually easy enough to persuade when Max put his mind to it. He loved his old man, but he sure was gullible...and honestly, it was just a little bit of money for a video game, right?
"You should see if he'll give you an allowance too," PJ said. "My dad says he can't be bothered with cooking or keeping track of where I am all the time, so he gives me some cash for stuff like food every week. Your dad might go along for the same thing - after all, we're academics. We need to make ends meet while we finish our studies."
Max frowned for a moment in thought his eyes eventually lighting up. "You know, Peej....that might be crazy enough to work."
"Glad I could help, dude," PJ said. "Now since you're here, what do you say I order some pizzas and we make a proper night of video games and movies?"
