Chapter #3

The wisp.

    by: Ëtalfni Author IconMail Icon
The clouds of haze become more solid, almost like thick smoke now. You continued to stare in disbelief, they seemed to be forming into a very feminine shape. An almost human feminine shape...

The blue fog had two very distinct bulbs sitting on top of what appeared to be an hourglass figure. Above that was a smaller shape suggesting a head, the "hair" was instead one big mass of smoke going past the cloud's shoulders. A small pointed tip, representing a nose, was all that could be seen of a face. There were no feet, only a spiral wisp that connected to the torso. It looked sort of like the top of a soft ice cream cone. Two arms crisscrossed underneath the shape's chest.

Finally, the smoke stopped billowing out of the bottle. The figure made of haze hovered in place directly above the side turned bottle. It didn't even seem alive, it was behaving just like a cloud floating aimlessly in the sky.

You were more curious then terrified at this point. This thing didn't seem sentient but you attempted to greet it.

"U-uh, hello?"

No response. You edged closer to it.

"C-can you hear me? What are you exactly?"

Still nothing, it continued to drift slowly in place above the bottle. Against any better judgment, you outstretched your hand in an attempt to touch. You always had a knack for doing incredibly stupid things without thinking.

When you made contact with the wisp, your hand phased through its face. It was as if nothing were there at all. It was like something had activated the wisp, two yellow eyes above its nose instantly shot open. You yelled slightly and pulled your hand back.

The shape sprung to life now, as you grasped your hand fearful that it had somehow been contaminated by whatever this thing was. The thing was bouncing all around the room now, as if eager to escape. It took the form of a giant cloud of blue fog as it repeatably tapped at everything. It seemed as if it was looking for something. Suddenly, it turned its attention towards...

You have the following choices:
