Deciding it was pretty good as a first thing to try out, Medli waved the wand with thoughts of swapping bodies with Link. There was a flash of light, and all of a sudden, she was no longer standing on the beach. Instead, she was sitting inside the cabin of a boat. Looking down at herself, she found that she wasn't really herself anymore. She was wearing the familiar green tunic that she recognised as being Link's. She also notice she now lacked a beak or wings. She must be in Link's body! Was Link in her body now? Did he know about the saw or did he think he'd always been Medli? It was a little difficult to find out since Medli's body was back on Dragon Roost Island, while Medli in Link's body was on a ship somewhere out in the ocean.
Medli would have explored further if not for a tanned hand being waved in front of her face. "Hello? Link? Kinda spacing out there." Turning to see the source of the hand, Medli saw Link's friend, Tetra, looking back at her. Link was probably in the middle of a conversation with her with Medli suddenly took over Link's body. That was going to take a bit of explaining. Or... Medli could feel the Swap Wand still gripped in her hand (or now more accurately, Link's hand). Maybe she could swap Tetra somehow and get out of this.
