The light receded as immediately as it had blinded the room. The gang took a few moments to re-orient themselves, confused as to what had happened.
“Something’s different here,” Velma was quick to comment, “And I just can’t put my finger on it.” She examined her friends, placing a manicured hand on her hip. No one seemed out of the ordinary at first glance, but a gut feeling had overcame her.
“What do you mean, Velm? I don’t notice anything off about us,” responded Fred, circling around himself to double-check. His fur and black spots appeared the same as they had always been.
“Raybe it’s Raggy’s ascot?” Scooby added, pointing a finger to his friend’s iconic piece of attire. Shaggy only thought to shrug.
“Nah,” Daphne expressed before looking down herself. “It’s probably not my socks, but they’re falling too low now that I think about it.” She bent right over and adjusted them, proud of how they matched her sweater and hair.
Stumped, the gang left the statue room for now and continued exploring the mansion. While they couldn't tell, the unsuspecting statue had mixed their heads around...and made them oblivious to the fact. Their behavior was interesting since it didn't change their personalites, or even their skills.
Scooby sniffed the ground looking for a scent to pick up, crawling on his lanky hands and knees.
Velma stuck her ass out as she bent over to examine something with her magnifying glass.
Shaggy utilized his big arms to carry as many snacks from the fridge as he could salvage.
Daphne strutted along, applying makeup to make her face stand out more against her hair and sweater.
And Fred obviously liked what she was doing, wagging his tail rapidly as he skipped alongside her.
They might've been quirky before, but now they really looked odd...or at least would've, if reality hadn't adjusted to make everyone think this was always how things were. Or did it…?
