His sister, Jasmine

At the sound of giant footsteps and ground shaking, Fernando and you immediately darted for a safe place under a chair. Huddled beneath the now-gigantic furniture, the two of you observed the source of commotion.

Fernando's 14-year-old sister was strolling through the living room, looking for you. She had fairly dark skin, a nice figure, and a large puff of curly hair. She wore jeans, a t-shirt and jacket, and knee-high black boots. Each boot made a sudden THUD into the carpet every time she took a step.

Should you go out into the open and try to get noticed, though it may lead to death or torture? Or should you look for Fernando's mom instead?
