Sirius's Fifth Year was just beginning. Over The summer, the ministry had made an announcement: there was a glut of witches out there. Therefore, all witches were up for consumption. The new rule was brught in yesterday, and Sirius couldn't wait until he could start.
There were several witches tha Sirius wanted to eat, some of which he knew he would have to be careful to avoid being found out. After all, Lily Evans might look tasty, but if he ate somebody from his house, then it would earn him the scorn of his housemates. Plus, he would still need to defeat her.
Similarly, his cousins, Andromeda, Narcissa and Bellatrix might look appaetising, but he would find it difficult to defeat them in a duel.
Sirius was walking down a corridor, when he was pulled into an abandoned classroom.
