Wiggins Wet, a.k.a. Johnathan Rich, among other names, was what one would call a con artist, who was the sort that could turn an old pale nag into a young black filly, and sell it for more than what it was really worth. He could sell the same bridge, thrice, within the hour, to three different people. He could convince bank tellers to give him money, for a blank sheet of paper. He was clever. Then, he came to Big Fat Pig City, and attempted to ply his trade. He was successful, at first. Then, he got caught. Luckily for him, it was by one of the City Guard, who merely arrested him for fraud, and not the Thieves Guild, who would have broken his arms and legs, before hanging him. As it was, Johnathan Rich had found himself with a rope around his neck, for his crimes which totaled over a hundred thousand in fraud, and there was a good crowd there to watch Justice Being Done. Johnathan tried to claim that there were worse people out there, who deserved to be hung instead of him. The hangman claimed that while this was true, they were not wearing the rope around their neck, put the hood over his head, and pulled the lever, and thus, Johnathan was executed.... or so it seemed. Within the hour, Wiggins found himself before the Tyrant, and the Commander. The Tyrant informed Wiggins that there were indeed people worse than him who deserved to be hung, and, unless he wished to be on the wrong end of a rope, for real this time, it would be in his best interests to locate these people, so that justice could be done. Coincidentally, there was a slot open for the division that investigated such crime, and that Commander Rutabaga was interested in taking on Wiggins Wet as a guard, although Wiggins didn't know how the Tyrant had found out about his real name.
William Scarlet O'Hara - a member of the Highwayman's Guild from the mountainous area of VunderVuld, William was part of the group that collected the tolls on the roads, as well as fixed them, and went after those who illegally robbed travelers, and who didn't give a fair share to the vampire and werewolf lords of the area, and thus would send these non-guildsmen to the lords and ladies of the land for punishment, which consisted of loud screaming, especially when they found out that they wouldn't be drained of blood, or torn to pieces, but would be instead forced to do hard labor mucking out the livestock pens, among other things. However, William grew tired of the mountains, and wished to see the city. He was given a good recommendation by both the Highwayman Guild, and the Vampire Lord, as well as a Werewolf Lady, and thus, William joined the Big Fat Pig City Guard.
