Emma was Isabel's best friend when they were kids. They met when they were in kindergarten, back then Isabel was a little plump but nowhere near as big as she was now. Because of that she was teased a lot and it made Isabel cry. One day when a couple of boys were mocking her and calling her names Emma threw rocks at them chasing them off and she introduced herself and since then they have been best friends.

Like Isabel Emma also has a syndrome but it didn't make her fatter in fact she was a skinny girl instead it makes her unable to grow beyond 4 feet. But that didn't stop them from being friends threw out kindergarten and most of elementary school. Until one day when they were both 7 years old Emma's dad got a promotion at his job that would cause him to work in England meaning that they would have to move. Needless to say this made both of them very sad but they promised that they would email each other every week and they did for the next 3 years.

Then one day Isabel got the email that Emma's mom was divorcing Emma's dad and that they would be moving back to the US. This made Isabel happy since she would be seeing her best friend again. However she was worried about how Emma would react upon seeing her again since last time she saw her she was 250 lbs and now she's double that weight. When Emma came back to the US she immediately email Isabel to let her know and they set up a date to swim together at Isabel's place.

Today was the day and Isabel was sitting on a chair waiting for Emma and when she heard her voice she turned around to see that Emma was....
