The house shook so hard that the kitchen table bounced in place.
"Sounds like Elena's awake" Julie said filling two bowls with cereal and milk
Elena walked through a thick cloud of her own stink into the kitchen "Morning" she said sitting down at her chair
Ruby took her bowl of cereal and started eating with her sister.
"Now then" she said "Try and be on your best behavior at school today"
"We will" Ruby said
"Don't worry about it" Elena said
"I know I say this whenever we start at a new town" Julie said "Try to hold in your gas until you get home"
The girls rolled their eyes, they'd heard all this before.
"At least we won't have to worry about any fart accidents here" Ruby said "Remember how Elena blew our front door off its hinges in our last house"
Elena gave a nervous smile "How could we forget" Julie said "The door hit one of our neighbors"
Elena snorted "It's not like you haven't caused any problems yourself" she said "Like how you farted at that restaurant and everyone had to evacuate because they thought it was a gas leak"
Ruby giggled nervously "It was a kind of gas leak" she said
"The point is we don't have to worry about that here" Julie said "Since the foundation of our new house was built specifically so we could break wind without any fear of affecting the outside. If we could just hold it in until we get home we should be able to live peacefully"
