A doll?

Kane waited only a day until Kiria came back with a small, straw doll.
He sighed with relief as his -hopefully- loyal bird flew in and dropped the doll in his lap.
"A doll?" Kane looked oddly at Kiria.
Kiria chirped and nodded her head.
"A boy owns a doll?" Kane asked.
Kiria shook, as if laughing. She took off to go back to her post, as if telling Kane to figure it out himself.
"A girl?" he muttered under his breath. "Of all the boys in the kingdom, the most worthy is a girl. This better be good."
