The alien sighed disappointedly. “I was hoping you’d be one of the more trusting humans… I suppose we’ll have to do this the hard way.” She said before closing her eyes.
Lindsey wasn’t sure what was going on until the alien’s eyes opened again; this time the glowed an eerie green color, and suddenly the short conversation she had with the alien earlier was obliterated from her mind. Everything the alien said about taking over her home planet was gone, as though it never happened. “Wha- what happened?” Lindsey asked, swaying slightly when the ordeal was over.
“You were saying that you’d help me get back to my normal size.” The alien said, acting as though nothing had happened.
“Oh right. So, how did you shrink anyways?” Lindsey asked.
“It’s a device my people developed to cut costs on transportation. less height mean less weight, which mean less cost to transport a being or thing.” The alien lied, secretly enjoying how easy it was to manipulate this girl.
“Ah, so I guess we wait for you to grow back to normal. I mean you’re already three or four times as big as you were when you crashed last night.” Lindsey said.
“Or we could find out what in your atmosphere is making me grow and find a way to speed up the process.” The alien suggested.
