Chapter #6

Downstairs

Following my conversation with Emma, I went downstairs to go eat breakfast and clear my thoughts. What was up with this wierd bracelet? And what's up with my body? I had so many questions but no answers at all.

"Hopefully, things will become clear soon" I told myself. I had no idea about how right I was.

I found my way into the kitchen where my little brother Andy was. He was happily eating his usual cereal. I decided to pour a meal of my own as well. So, I found the cereal I liked and got a glass of milk as usual. Funny thing though, I seemed to have more interest in the milk than the cereal.

I went to the table and started eating. However, like I just mentioned, I gulped down the milk like it was nothing, surprising Andy.

"Wow brother, I didn't know you could drink that fast!" said the amused little boy.

"Really?" I asked. Maybe I just didn't notice something but it seemed to taste better now than usual. So wierd.

"Yeah, you're almost like Kate" said Andy. Kate was a girl that was about a year or 2 younger than me. We lived in the same neighborhood so it wasn't hard to meet. Honestly, I've always felt odd about Kate. She often at times acted wacko. She seems to have a liking for birds and fish. A HUGE liking I should say. She also seemed to like milk too. Don't get me wrong, she was a sweet girl; makes everyone feel good around her and loves to help out. However, I couldn't help but think that she was hiding something.

"By the way brother, I think you should be leaving soon" said Andy. He was right. It was about time for me to walk to the bus stop and meet everyone. Once I was done with breakfast, I quickly got my shoes on and got my backpack. However, it seemed to be heavier this time around.

"What is up with that?" I asked myself as I looked into my backpack. It was just as full as normal and I usually had no problems. I was pretty good about working out so this was odd.

"Ugh, I gotta get some air" I told myself, just plain fustrated with the current events. However, I had other things to worry about.

"Ugh, what is up with...my stomach?" I asked myself as I nearly buckled over. The discomfort had come back with a vengance and it was almost like it was spreading towards every point in my body. It was almost like what I felt with my waist: like my body was contracting and trying to compress everything into a small space.

Soon enough, the discomfort subsided a bit although it was still somewhat present.

"What is wrong with my life?" I asked myseld as I decided to keep walking to the bus stop, unaware that my clothing was a little bigger now.

You have the following choices:

1. The Bus Stop

*Noteb*
2. Back at the House (Emma's POV)

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
