You woke up ready for another boring school day but it didn't take you long to get wide awake realizing you were not in your bedroom, or in your house, or in your city even. You were outside, in a nice looking, peaceful place that had a lot of little mountains and despite having patches of grass, some trees and a lake close didn't look so lively, it seemed kind of like a desert in fact, based on the amount of rock you could see around you. Still in your comfy sleeping clothes you started walking around, intrigued because you were absolutely sure you didn't know what this place was, and yet it seemed strangely familiar for some reason.
Were you still sleeping? you tried pinching and slapping yourself to no avail, but as you kept walking you couldn't shake away the feeling that those rock formations were way too familiar. Were you even on earth? maybe you were abducted by aliens? You decided to slowly find your way up a rock to get an aerial view of the landscape in front of you, noting how the environment seemed to be less pleasant as you moved forward, it definitely reminded you more and more of a desert.
"Is that.. a dinosaur? What the hell?" you were surprised to see a triceratops there resting peacefully, an animal that was supposed to be extinct! you stood there dumbfounded, trying to pinch and slap yourself again in vain not understanding anything about your current location, or how to get back home. Did you travel to the past maybe? Even if that was the case, you didn't know what to do, you started to shake feeling dread at being trapped in a hostile environment with nobody to help you.
You tried to calm yourself down, still watching the dinosaur as it lazily woke up and moved around when something else caught your attention, it was a.. kid? he had long hair but didn't look like the kind of human you would expect if you traveled to the past, he was fully dressed with orange clothes and boots, even had something on his wrist, and he seemed to be.. punching the rock for some reason? But he was oblivious to the dinosaur that was slowly moving towards him.
You didn't think twice and tried to shout at the kid, but seeing your voice didn't reach him decided to climb down and try to get near the boy before the triceratops did. The patches of grass were replaced by harsh and solid rock that was hurting your feet, but you kept running thinking contacting another human was the key to escape whatever this place was.
"Hey, be careful, there's a triceratops out there!" You shouted and kept running, oblivious to the fact that before catching the kids attention you caught the attention of the beast itself as it changed direction and approached you. A roar from the triceratops made you stop shouting and curse as you changed direction, trying to steer the dinosaur away and find a safe place but you were scared, unprepared and your feet were hurting so much you fell to the floor.
"Help!" you shouted scared for your life as the triceratops approached, looking like it was going to have you for breakfast. You closed your eyes hoping to wake up in your bed, but instead heard a "hyaa" followed by some thunderous impact and the beast growling in pain. With curiosity you opened your eyes and saw the boy's back in front of you, successfully driving the triceratops away! But it was when he turned that you understood why everything looked so familiar
"Are you okay? What are you doing here? I was told I would be here alone" The boy smiled at you and offered you a hand but you were too surprised to react because you knew who he was, it was Kid Gohan, from one of your favorite shows! You were now certain this had to be a dream, but were still too stunned to move.
"Um.. helloo? Can you move?" The boy said, still smiling but a bit concerned.
