"I'll send her some doctored goods! I'm sure that jerk Fawful left some of his garbage here when he converted my castle to a theater... He made that weird Vacuum Mushroom, and those ones that caused the Blorbs, too!"
The titanic turtle leaped off his throne and scrambled to storage, tossing aside henchmen in his haste to locate Fawful's locked-up stash. He hadn't really wanted to mess with the stuff too much before; it was all so hi-tech and weird, he was afraid it'd end up blowing up in his face. But Bowser's enthusiasm overrode his caution, and he approached the iron door in the bowels of his castle, ripped the chains and lock right off of it, and perused the contents of the forbidden storeroom, tossing aside junk.
"Wind-up Fawful chattering teeth... X-ray Glasses permanently stuck at maximum strength so you can't really see anything... Ray guns... Earl guns... Duke guns... Worthless! What a bunch of bunk! ARGH!" Bowser slammed his fist into a stack of crates in front of him, and was rewarded with a crate to the head. After regaining his bearings, he looked to the label of the crate, and grinned a toothy, evil grin.
"Slob Shrooms, huh...?"
---------------------------------------------
The halls of Peach's palace bustled with activity and joviality. The reigning monarch of the Mushroom Kingdom had thrown another party, inviting her closest friends, along with a number of ambassadors and diplomats from neighboring kingdoms. Mario and Luigi hadn't shown up yet, held up by an infestation of boos in their house (engineered by Bowser, unbeknown to anyone). Princess Peach herself was speaking with Daisy and a delegation from Sarasaland, when a Toad came up to her, bearing a gift package wrapped in green and red.
"Pardon my interruption, your Highness! This package just arrived with your name on it! I'm not sure, but I THINK it's from Mario and Luigi! See, cause of the colors." The retainer handed off the gift to Peach, and she delicately opened it. "A present from Mario and Luigi? I wonder what it is?"
As soon as she lifted the cover off of the box, her nostrils were assailed by a pungent, yet strangely alluring odor. Inside the box was a large, somewhat blobby, wobbly dark green mushroom with brown spots, seeping with a slick and oily substance. She picked up the card inside, trying to avoid getting the secretion on her hands.
"'This is a Genuine Lucky Mushroom, from a far-off kingdom. Consider it as a repayment for all of the delicious cakes you've baked us. Sincerely, the Mario Bros.' Oh! How... Um. Nice?" The princess looked warily at the reeking fungus. It looked, quite frankly, disgusting... But something about it made her want to indulge. And it was a gift from the heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom, after all...
Daisy looked at the gift her friend had received, half-jealous and half-relieved. "Uh... Wow. Go on, take a bite Peach! I'm sure it... Well, I hope it tastes better than it looks. It can't be hard, after all."
Peach stared daggers into Daisy, and reluctantly took the jiggling mushroom into her hands. The greasy coating was already staining her gloved fingers. She put her lips to the unctuous shroom and bit off a chunk. The mushroom left her mouth feeling like it was coated in grease, but she also found it extremely, incredibly delicious. Abandoning all pretense of etiquette for the moment, Peach started scarfing it down, smearing musky juices all over her face and lips. The mushroom was gone in the space of ten seconds, Daisy and her delegation the stunned witnesses to the subtle beginning of Peach's transformation. The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom licked her fingers of any remaining juice, loosing a smelly belch that sprayed crumbs of fungus over her guests before regaining her senses, blushing hotly and putting her hands to her mouth.
"Oh... Oh my. I'm sorry... I'm not quite sure what came over me!"
Daisy wiped the crumbs off of her face, and grinned. "It's fine, Peach. I mean, I know I've always been telling you to loosen up some, after all... But maybe scale it back, some." She put an arm around her usually elegant playmate. "This party is kind of dead anyway, without Mario and Luigi. Want to skip out for a bit? Although, if you want to go powder your nose for a bit, that's fine. You've sort of got... A little something there... Yeah, there." Daisy took a kerchief and wiped Peach's face. "Got it."
Peach thought about it. Her head was feeling a little muzzy...
